Instead of this negative drivel start thinking about the many positives that are clearly being shown by this team and club. Get yourself a pair! Butland putting in world class performances. Pieters being his usual steady self. The team somehow managing some clean sheets despite still allowing far too many shots in on goal. Whelan being a colossus. Arnie has played well in fits and starts. Are there any more?

Why what have you heard? Could they potentially build underwater weapons and attack us from the sea? It would be really difficult to target them back if they dive to any depth. Thanks for that, I was not worried about Killer Whales before but now it worries the hell out of me! Are they Christian or Muslim? I guess they are Neptunians? Fuck! If their intelligence is increasing Shirley it's only a matter of time till they navigate the canal system .with all that implies for our fair city . A friend of a friend reckons this is the exact reason as to why Neil Morrissey bought the Plume, fully expecting hordes of whale watchers to flock to Barlaston when this (inevitably) happens. He's ahead of his time, but you could tell that years ago, when he was in Boon.

Not in the slightest. We are not Champions League material, we all know that and there are worse sides than us in the Prem. We are where we should be. I expect us to put a good run together at some point that will put some ground between us and those below and don't forget we are one game away from a cup semi final. It could be better yes... But it could be hell of a lot worse. Thing is with these worse sides is that we've only managed to struggle to get the points and weren't convincing, they can improve as they changed their managers We will be fine we have come along way over the past few seasons and changed our style of play. Sometimes we might raise our expectations to high because we do have class. but hey we will stay up that's what matters.

We stayed the same didn't we? Nit picking I know but that's what I do. We should do, we're richer than almost every other club in the world. Genuinely disappoints me we do so badly when it comes to cup games. Bojan looks months away from it, Shawcross being back is ace though. That's good. We've been pretty fucking shit, so that's not true.

Butland is earning us points. You say we're too reliant on him... We've recently won 4 on the bounce. You say what about the form before that... You'll never be satisfied. You're impossible to please.

The Herculean effort against Chelsea aside, it's all been a little 'meh' really.
Lowest scorers and our best player by a country mile has been our 'keeper. Look at Leicester, they've maintained their momentum from last season because they have someone who can stick the ball in the net and can break with purpose. We're crying out for some pace, we're far too pedestrian.

Butland is earning us points. You say we're too reliant on him... We've recently won 4 on the bounce. You say what about the form before that... You'll never be satisfied. You're impossible to please. We have, lets hope it stays that way. The defence still look dodgy and always a brainfart away from conceding a stupid goal and we have the most worked goalie in the league which indicates the defensive unit in front of him isn't working that well. He's doing his job.........far too often........we need to ease the pressure and reliance on him. Well yeah when we've gone backwards from last season, it's not good enough is it?

Of course, it would be great to give him an easier afternoon, and he will get that in other games. But really ? Doing his job far too often ?

we still need an out and out goalscorer /poacher not addressed this in so many seasons now, equal lowest goals scored this season and if villa score today we will be the lowest . need a centre forward drastically

Neither would having a keeper who ships a goal or two each game... Then again, you never know. Pretty soon Butlands form may dip and he'll start conceding & you'll be able to say "I told you so" and you'll feel all proud and clever and everyone on this forum will hail you the hero & all-knowing king of the Stokies....

I've read loads of your posts Bayern and I have to say that I'm amazed that you still support Stoke. Honestly mate, you should move to Madrid or Barcelona, they may not disappoint you. Your general analysis and expectations are not that of a fan of a mediocre premiership side. My view is that we are making steady progress and are trying to play football.

I wouldn't say worried , personally I'm a little bored but I hope,we can improve some plus points Butland , Johnson Cameron , Whelan , getting Ryan back Wolly looking steady and Arnie . On the downside only Johnson of the summer signings has looked good enough so far and Bojan is still struggling .We really lack pace apart from Diouf but you have to hope that as in the past couple of seasons form will get better as the season moves on . As long as we don't hit a run of defeats and can get to 20 points by the turn of the year we will be ok

We definitely won't finish 9th this season as I reckon Leicester, West Ham, Swansea, Southampton and Palace will finish above us, as well as the usual top 6 plus Everton, so that equals 13th!

Imo, we've been defending poorly, not been creative enough, too casual at times in possession, Butland has saved us countless times and two of our main attackers (Shaqiri and Bojan) are not playing anywhere near their best. All this on top of a high amount of injury problems...
And yet we're 14th in the league, 4 points behind 6th and in the league cup quarter finals...
I think we'll be OK.
