It happens at that level though WD all of the time. That's the point and from what I can tell it's usually not a big deal and seen as part of it. More was made of it than needed. Especially considering he was getting paid a fuck ton to miss it. The reaction was perfectly in line with the manager's personalities. They are pretty strong characters and were consistent thoughout. Of course their reaction was wrong but it's not as if they dropped him from the squad forever and gave him a round of fucks in front of his team mates. They just voiced off some anger in front of the camera away from the squad. It was the right thing to leave him out as there would have been other players training all week in the lead up to that game and they deserved the shirt.

It was, still way ott though given that it does happen. Again that's not necessarily how it works is it?

What a pair of cocks the two managers came across as. Talk about playing up for the cameras.

It was an OTT reaction but I wouldn't expect them to be happy when their star player drops out in the run up to a big game. If they'd have ripped him a new arse hole in front of the other players then I'd agree with you that they were bang out of order. They didn't though. They just voiced their anger at the cameras away from the players (for all we know it was something they were asked to do as part of the "narrative/drama" that tv shows have to create). The manager's both came across as complete cock at times but I don't see how they got much wrong on that one.

Yeah I wasn't saying don't leave him out next week but they didn't need to come out with shit like 'modelling instead of the biggest game of the season', it's his job at the end of the day.

Watching the game now , most enjoyable and a breath of fresh air type of game. Absofuckinglutely mate. No cheating, diving, feigning injury, surrounding the ref and some good old fashioned crunching tackles thrown in. It's how it used to be....the Mrs is glued to the game for the first time in 39 years of knowing her.

What a great sight to see the players, management team, staff, supporters, owners (former top-class footballers) and reporters/pundits (former top-class footballers) all mixing on the pitch at the end of the game. This is why football is called the beautiful game, look at the spirit and unity being built in that community!
