BIG game. One of our biggest cup games for years. No misplaced arrogance looking down our noses at this competition. If we beat Sheff Wed we get the taste of Wembley in our nostrils.

Managed to secure a ticket in the away end. 4634 owls. The majority of us are a good lot and it has the ingredients to be a great night of football. The atmosphere will be brilliant.

Tickets seem to be going better for this than the Chelski game. I was on scfcdirect this morning after 7 together. The site was particularly busy and consequently very sluggish and "crashy". Difficult to use and a bit stressful tbh. My own fault for volunteering to be the ticket guy I suppose. No mug like an old mug.

Just had a look and you can get 7 together in Blocks 19,20 and 24. It should be easy enough to find the same in blocks 25-28 and 32-34.
I thought we would be much closer to sold out by now.

I got sorted in 29 in the end thanks mate. There was a horrible lag and no updating though so it was a bit of a pain. For the Chelsea I got 8 in 30, my preference, at about the same time with no issues at all. That leads me to believe it was busier today. I haven't been on since but from what I could see, we had sold more than we had for Chelsea at the equivalent time this morning..

Looking forward to this, our record at The Brit isnt too shabby and hopefully we can sneak a result, back in 1990/91 we turned over Coventry at this stage of the competition so I'm hoping lightening strikes twice.

Think you'd have to sneak it mate. We'll put a full side out and honestly think we're going to smash Wednesday. 1 0 will do for me though.

I think the club is getting hungry for silverware, unfortunately for Sheffield Wed we will go into this game guns blazing.
I expect a convincing win. But as above I'd take a 1-0

I still want to see a reservey looking side. It's what they're there for.
Haugaard
Cameron Shawcross Muni (if fit) Wilson
Whelan Van Ginkel
Walters Ireland Afellay
Joselu

Haugaard Cameron Shawcross Muni (if fit) Wilson Whelan Van Ginkel Walters Ireland Afellay Joselu This isn't the match to chuck in half a dozen players lacking match fitness, we've got a great chance of getting to Wembley so let's not blow it by making wholesale changes. Afellay for Bojan and maybe MVG for Adam would be the only changes I'd make.

That team should be beat Wednesday at home, it's a pretty good side!

They're there as back up for the first team and playing in the earlier rounds, not for a quarter final against what will be a decent and fired up opposition. I agree that on paper that team you suggested should have more than enough quality to beat them, I'd just be worried about the lack of games some of those players have had this season.

What's the point in having back ups that aren't ready (not match fit you've said) to step up? It's only the league cup though. That team is a good one, the only daft selection is Haugaard but I want to watch him in action!

It's not too much of a problem the odd player lacking match fitness coming into the team to cover an injury or suspension, you suggested picking a team with half a dozen players lacking match fitness, it's a recipe for disaster, especially against a team that will be well up for it. It may only be the league cup but it's a great chance to win some silverware and also qualify for Europe, which will only improve the quality of player we can attract.

I don't think it is a recipe for disaster, I'd expect that side to win. Possibly, not sure the Europa League is a massive draw mind.
