Very early to make a judgement. We have no idea if Diouf will be back in the country - and if he is whether he will be fit, or if Wilson and Shaqiri have recovered from injury. Afellay still has to play tonight and all the other players who have played in the Euro qualifiers and against Mexico have yet to report for training fit or otherwise.
Ask me again after Sparky's press conference at the end of the week.

Assuming no injuries/ absences, I'd go with same again as Villa game.

If Shaqiri is fit and Diouf isn't (or is still con compassionate leave) I'd tend to go with the team against Villa but with Walters up front and Shaq on the wide right.

Obviously more important things for Mame at the moment but was there any news on his injury?
I'd go with
Jack
Glen Wolfi GCam Eric
Whelo Afellay (more mobile than Adam)
Arni Bojan (Adam on the hour) Shaq
Diouf (Walters if injured)
Way to early to risk Ryan

Tough game where we'll have to dig in for a bit first and foremost, therefore i'd play wilson and move Cameron into midfield.
Butland
Johnson Wolly Wilson Pieters
Whelan Cameron
Shaqiri Bojan Arnie
Diouf/Walters

We have mostly been poor at Swansea however these things are not set in stone. Swansea will let you play so fancy Bojan to make his mark. Not convinced at the other end mind

Christ, Swansea still feels an eternity away.
International break/Monday night double whammy = serious Stoke withdrawal symptoms...

Christ, Swansea still feels an eternity away. International break/Monday night double whammy = serious Stoke withdrawal symptoms... Cheer up ruts. Only three more weeks of football (when it does come back) before another fortnight off for the Play Offs followed by 2 away games. One Saturday home 3pm game between now and Dec 19th

Oh well, at least we're getting closer to the point where Hughesy pushes the "fucking hell, we're good" button... :-)

Judging by the reports I've seen he's nowhere near 'Stoke fit' yet

Les says Shaq and Wilson are fit and available, but Diouf is away on compassionate leave until early next week. So Villa team, with Walters playing as forward and Shaq taking the place on the right.
Let's hope Shaq really is fit - I am almost tempted to hope we give him a couple of weeks of training (maybe even some extra fitness work) to get properly fit before throwing him back in?

Would love to see Joselu given a go from the off but Walters deserves the start.

Yeah would probably have to be that, I suppose. Walters up front more likely if Shaqiri's fit when you put it like that but could be a bit of a nightmare against their pace if it's a borderline fit Shaqiri and Johnson on the right. Which one of their speed machines actually plays wide left?

FFS more MVG bashing.
I personally think the lad is very decent and it will show very soon.
He's a young lad, with bags of potential and he's been asked to fill the boots of our player of the season. Its just not going to happen overnight.
And for the record, Shaqiri has done the square root of fuck all but we all know what's coming and nobody gets on his back.
Less moaning, more encouragement to anyone that pulls on the shirt!
