Okay, thanks! Happy with Walters up front. He's a threat and in good form. Would consider starting Afellay and putting Shaqiri on the bench. Could have more of an impact later on.

I am literally in two minds about this one. (1) Like the Villa game, we need to take control early on. Swansea are wobbling and are in a serious dip in form. Coming in an unbeaten run of four games, we should be confident enough to take the game to them. They are investing a lot in the result of this game, and will be nervous. (2) Swansea are not Villa. We need to play it tight and hit them on the counter attack. If we can keep the game scoreless by half time, we can nick a goal in the 80th minute. I am switching between the two on an hourly basis!

The 1st goal in this game is vital imo because they are at a low ebb at the minute so confidence must be fragile. Will be surprised to see Bojan and Shaqiri both start tomorrow away at Swansea tbh as well.

Swansea being at home will be looking to attack and play football, so speed on the break will be the answer today.
If Diouf is unavailable then Walters to hold the ball up with Shaq/Arnie/Bojan running off him will do.
Adam to spray the passes from deep.
This is an important game for hughes & co' now to keep the momentum going and show we are an improving team over last season. No game is easy but we should go into it with some confidence

Two good sides going head to head. No reason why we can't win it. Magic from from Bojan/Arnie/Shaq and keep Ayew quiet.
3-1 Stoke.

Keep Montero, that Icelandic dude and Gomis quiet. Considering Gomis has lost some form, he may be thinking this is a perfect game to get going again.

I'd take a drawer.
When was the last time we won at Swansea? Was it in the 1992/93 League Winning season under Macari? 2-1 victory with Bruce Grobbelaar making his debut? Stoke coming from 1-0 down to win?

You just never know which Stoke is going to turn up. Unfortunately that's the way we are. Real Jekyll and Hyde side. Hopefully the decent one turns up tonight and gives us a win boost and puts Monk in his place. As I said on a different thread, a porky penalty, which drives Monk nuts, will do it for me.

It's going to be very tight. Swansea are a good team, like them or not.

It's going to be very tight. Swansea are a good team, like them or not. I think that they are a decent side as well. Are they as good as they are cracked up to be though? Not won in 5. Only two goalscorers all season, if you discount Kane's OG. We go above them with a win and we've supposedly had a bad start. There is absolutely no reason why we can't go there and win, aside from the fact that we never seem to win in Swansea.
