Agree with that, loud and distorting. If that was the new £400K system, it has not been money well spent, unless, of course, it's a matter of set up. Whatever system it was, it certainly wasn't very impressive yesterday. Oh dear.

Send a complaint to the club. The more people that get on to them, the more likely they'll have to address it. I have, it's fucking ridiculous .

Some aspects of the clubs PR on match day are beyond amatuerish
first and foremost --WE ARE NOT FUCKING DEAF
Second, minor has beens on the pitch talking shit - (Iwelumo hardly set the world on fire did he ?) No one is Fucking interested
if hes commentating for some local outlying village radio station
the scoreboard might as well not exist for what use it is - 'happy birthday to total strangers at HT' - yes - magnificent is that
I really enjoy looking at pictures of total fucking strangers at half time rather than - the other scores I'm actually interested in
and the fucking corners still haven't been filled in
And so
Im not so worried about on the pitch matchday wise as, off it - plainly, run by the totally fucking clueless
the pre match deafening dirge the very latest in total and utter dumb ass stupidity
oh ! and and the fucking corners still haven't been filled in
Ps SOME PEOPLE WALKED AROUND THE PITCH AT HALF TIME - WHO THE FUCK WERE THEY ? - WHY WERE THEY WALKING AROUND ?

Sorry, but it is a big deal if a business with a turnover of upwards of £100 million hasn't got simple things like check lists for tasks which are done every match day - AND a system in place whereby someone CHECKS the work of their colleagues. What makes it all the more annoying is that the parent company, bet365, is pretty much a world leader - quite why their football club remains third world in its off the pitch operations is one of life's great mysteries. Hell's teeth, they haven't even got round to proof reading the stories they put on their website.

After Saturday I think I may have permanent ear damage and I'm seriously considering making a claim against the idiots who set the sound system at what seemed 100's of decibels.
Tony so eloquently put it earlier 'WE ARE NOT FUCKING DEAF'. Well Tony I have news for you 'WE MAY WELL BE FUCKING DEAF NOW'

£400k and all they got was an instruction to stick the volume up by a few hundred decibels.

In the Boothern, to me it looks like as if they had changed all the roof mounted speakers and it also sounded clearer (Row 21). However i'm a little confused as the speakers we still around the pitch so maybe that have started and not completed the task yet. Regards the people walking around the pitch, not a problem but as ukstoney put, who are they ? surly we can afford a couple of signs for them to carry !

To be fair sitting in the main stand I thought it sounded a lot better and NOT as loud as previous games. There was more bass and less treble and the music seemed clearer. One case in point I thought was where the announcer shouts as we're coming out of the tunnel "your mighty MIGHTY POTTERRRRRRRRS"etc it didn't make my eardrums bleed this time! So I think they're working on it and I'm sure they've added those grey speakers below the stand roofs to help spread the sound as the monitors pitch side were doing too much work imo.

The scoreboard is a total embarrassment. Incorrect names and not in sync with the bloke on the pitch. Why does he have to be on the pitch?
Also, why are there no highlights of the first half at half time?
Second rate Stoke. And people say Scholes is doing a great job.

It was unbelievable that they still (I assume) had the software running the team for the last home game. Doesn't anyone check these things in the morning or do a run through. I know the team isn't announced until 2 but I'm sure the IT blokes know it before then and can sort it out before kick off. It was embarrassing.

The new sound system will be in operation for the Crystal Palace game at the latest I am informed. The scoreboard team problems are supposedly the result of a glitch in the software . The Supporters Council have expressed the fans disappointment re the "problem"
Your other observations have also been passed on.

Ange, I can believe that the problems with the team list on the scoreboard were caused by a software problem. But surely, they test the system each morning before the game? Are we to believe that they tested it at, say, 10am with a pair of dummy team lists, and that it worked - but that it failed to work at 2:55 pm when they ran the routine with the real teams? As a matter of interest, were there faults with the Leicester team list? If not, I wonder why TP's West Brom team list did not appear? ;-)
