I am/was sorting out a work 'fact finding' mission to Swansea Uni for this date with an overnight stop.
Even so I baulk at paying 35 notes for a game on tv that I could watch in the hotel. Outrageous.

Way too much. I'm a bit surprised at the club bothering to put the various categories for the tickets on the site as there's no way that would ever sell out.

Be nice if the club subsidized the price of the ticket so the fans only had to pay £20, yes I know there's free coach travel but it's a ballache of a journey and £35 is ridiculous. Wonder what we charged them last season for the televised game just out of interest, I know it was a sell out in the Stoke end because we had a ticket offer on?

It`s sky that have moved the game to a Monday night , so if it was on a normal Saturday £35.00 would be about the going rate , it`s not a cup match.

It's not a normal Saturday though it's a Monday night and it's live on the telly, so why not use some of the vast TV money to help fill the ground by pricing it accordingly?

It also gives Swansea even more of a home advantage with next to no away fans.

As a good will gesture to the 500 die hards who will make the journey yes, it would cost them £7,500 (or Shaqiri's wage for the day putting into context)

Good job the suffragettes didn't take that attitude, or black Americans during the 50's and 60's. I exaggerate the point of course, but something could be done if there was a proper organised movement across the country amongst ordinary football fans.....

You will never please everyone. Never ever ever Free travel for every away game benefits a lot of people and is about as fair as you can get. People from outside Stoke use it as well for games so that argument doesn't really wash.

With the big clubs attracting so many (fans) from abroad I doubt even that would have an effect their grounds would still be full.It would have to a be a sustained effort over a period of time, which Im afraid just isnt going to happen which is a shame because it is (has )ruined the sport for the average fan.I dont know how Germany have been so sucsessful in keepeing their prices so low but whatever they do we should follow.I beleive that the problem is the players wages.Surely we as a country pay the most on average to top flight players.I for one would like to see the cost reduced to £15-£20 per game and just get rid of the greedy few players.Let them go to Spain. There isnt much difference in the quaity anyway a good organised team is better than a team with just a few great players anyway.Phew

They get a cheaper ticket to compensate for the cost of the travel. Those who don't use the official coaches get a cheaper ticket. So using the up and coming Villa game as an example the club subsidize the £41 and charge every fan £25, the cost of travel would be say £10/£12 so everyone's everyone's benefits in some shape or form....

I was thinking about this earlier, and yes ticket prices are too high, and the whole argument about how much should be paid is valid, however its one thing paying x amount when a game is 3pm on a saturday as people keep it free, but for me there should be something in place that any game that is moved by sky should have reduced prices, as the club is making money by it being on sky, yet disadvantaging fans, not just away (more so for away) but home as well

More novelty, unlikely you would do it again, the majority that go do it once, therefore more expensive especially the rider cup, in europe once every 4 years, doesn't even add up to the ticket cost for half a season of away games. I get your premise but not so comparable.
