Only one sort of person wouldn't want to help the Syrian refugees.
Only one.

I don't think it's a case of a better existence mumf many of these people are fleeing for there lives . Isis death squads are murdering whole communities who happen to be the wrong kind of Muslims . Many of these people are fleeing for the lives of their children . Katie Hopkins is a vile bitch who has made a living with no discernible talent . She spouts her loathsome utterances just to stay in work . Even The Sun seems to be embarrassed by her If they are fleeing for their lives why are they insisting on Germany, UK etc? Beggers a cant be choosers Well they won't make all that effort to end up in Romania now will they

You can't say Britons are mild mannered , we are all different . Some would say the civil war as already begun. Isis sympathisers are already amongst us As in we tolerate more than the immigrants do, you must have noticed this? The typical British way which tends to slowly build up to full on aggression Yeah that's defiantly the case for some of us mate that's for sure

My tuppence, for what its worth!
Saddam and Gaddafi were bastards, but they were our bastards. They kept order (in a rather unrestrained way) but at least they were easy(ier) to keep an eye on.
Since we (the royal) cut the head off of the snake a dragon has emerged and whether that gives people an 'excuse' to say that they are fleeing the terrors and atrocities as they fear for their lives or people are genuinely fleeing for those reasons I cannot help but feel that most of this is of our own doing.
Because of our meddling, millions have been displaced and the knock on effect has destabilised many countries.
My heart goes out to all those who perish searching for their 'eden'.
Very sad and some comments, be it from the media or general public worries me greatly for our species. 'The planet is fine........the people are fucked!' - George Carlin

There are atrocities taking place all over the world on a continous basis..usually based on squabbles over territory. From the Khmer Rouge to Idi Amin in the 1970s.
The butchery & slaughter of millions of people in Burundi..Sierra Leone..Darfur and probably worst of all Rwanda in the last 10 years...yet nobody in the West lifted a finger to help.
But all of a sudden the doors open for up to a million Syrian refugees/migrants.
It just doesn't make any sense to me.

If I'm deluded then why have we not had a major attack since London?

As a parent heartbreaking
But the reality is it is a massive propaganda photo too.
So many questions. Apparently the family had been living in a turkey for a year after fleeing Syria.
Why didn't they claim asylum in a fellow Muslim country
Why didn't they go to kurdistan
This is not just about wether the UK does enough. We should do our bit of course. But this island is too small to accept every migrant and asylum seeker.
We are perceived as the land of honey but we don't have the infrastructures to cope with accepting everyone.

And if we didn't have this open door no questions asked EU free travel policy we may have the infrastructure to help some more
