He gave me great hope today! He showed he can play box to box and he showed he can be disciplined and I thought he was triffic in the second half. His passing still wasn't the best and he fannied out of a few tackles but I took great hope out his performance today, it was good to see.

It'll take the best part of a season but there is a very decent footballer in there...

At 1-0 down with 9 men, N'zonzi would've given up and Hughes would've hurled him off, fair play to MVG he never gave up

Yeah, there's certainly a decent footballer in there somewhere. He just needs playing time.
Which is what I've been saying all along, but then again I am a fucking football genius.

I saw one moment where he charged after one of their players towards the touchline to win the ball and the crowd cheered. I think he's accepting what fans like and it will come.

Have to agree bayern, once he cuts out those dodgy passes he will be something like. He certainly fitted the flow of the midfield a lot better today,. May have had something to do with having Adam in there in the early stages instead of Ibrahim? Would imagine Ireland will come in now which i think could be ideal. I do wonder if it might just be a bit of a blessing in disguise to have IA suspended for a wee bit so we get to see Ireland in there from the start & hopefully a firing Arnie.
Never know though it might be time for the little Matador, he does enjoy playing Arsenal?

People need to move away from getting a player exactly the same as Nzonzi like I say in some situations we will gain and others we will lose. Overall I think we'll be better off.

I thought he showed fantastic energy and really got about the pitch today, there's definitely some fine-tuning still to be done but it's clear to me that the talent is there and that he'll be a decent player for us this season.

You cant fault any of the 9 players today, Plan A,B & C went out the window, when Oliver decided to become a bigger cunt than he usualy is.

There is a footballer in there, he can pass and run all over for 90 mins but his lack of physicality in tackling or shoulder to shoulder charges concerns me the most at the moment. His second touch is poor aswell but If he ups his graft he could be something great. Whelan barges his man with twice as much aggression. I also think we need to alter which team he features against. I prefer Cameron and Whelan with Bojan infront of them but until we get a fit squad I think this tinkering to find options will continue.

Great effort but he get's caught in possession far to often and his distribution is severely lacking. He also looks a bit lightweight to me and get's knocked off the ball far to easily.
Having said that, he's a young lad at a new club and needs to be given time to settle. I don't think anyone should be judged on today's performance given the circumstances, but on the evidence of his first few games, he's got some improving to do.

I didn't think he did all that much today to be honest, got himself about so fair play for that but I'm pretty disappointed in him.
