Worked his bollocks off and ran himself to into the ground tonight as a lone striker. With very little service, I'm not sure you could ask any more of him. Pulled out a little flash of magic with the overhead kick, which would have been a goal of the season contender had it gone in. Thought he did a good job in tough circumstances and deserves some credit for a solid performance.

It's good to know we've got him and Mame for the front man role. Still prefer Mame though.

Brilliant performance tonight. Deserves a start on Saturday. Battled well, held the ball up and worked his balls off. Hopefully he can start getting a goal or two

Put himself about and won some tackles. He has a strong all-round game if not the blistering pace of Diouf.
Very good shift he put in there.

Did well enough but doesn't have the pace of Mame, the energy of Jon or the holding up quality of Peter, firmly 3rd/4th choice for me.

I thought he held it up very well. Great in the air and quick feet to keep the ball when under pressure.

For someone who's barely played for us i thought he was good tonight, didn't really have much of a goal threat but he did exactly what we needed him to do

I mentioned in the MOTM thread that BBC have listed him as their MOTM.
"Stoke City forward Joselu was a handful throughout for Ashley Williams and the rest of Swansea's defence. The former Real Madrid forward went close with an acrobatic overhead kick - a rare moment of quality in a scrappy match"
Personally I'm hoping for a lot more from the big man.

Looked fucked at 80mins but dug in and held the ball up brilliantly on the touch line in those crucial last minutes.
I like him, I just don't think he'll get a run of starts once Mame's back.
Good lad to see out a game off the bench mind...

One for next season IMO with anything we get this season a bonus.
Good in the air, good first touch but inconsistency in holding the ball up and struggles in tight area's against centre halves.
That can be sorted either in the gym or with experience.

Worked his nuts off, won the ball back on numerous occasions. Only chance he had he made himself with the overhead. And celebrated when the tv camera came in on him at full time. :-)

He's no Mark Stein and never will be , and the chances of him scoring 10 goals a season slim ...probably 50/1 if I'm being honest .
Tonight's performance was 'workman like' in attitude and application with one spectacular overhead kick .
He needs to score a goal in all honesty . He needs to show he can beat a man and get his shot off .
he didn't tear up any trees tonight , but neither did any of their strikers. He will always be our second choice striker who hopefully can and will improve .
Marks out of ten ...7.5

Encouraging from him tonight , clearly an intelligent player with a good touch , still needs to do more work for me but much better tonight so he may be adapting , a friend who was there had him as MOM. I did t see that from TV but a huge improvement on anything we have seen since his cameo,at Spurs

I didn't realise celebrating a win in front of a camera makes you a better player? Don't get me wrong I think he did a good job but for me, there are 2 (at least) better players in that position in our squad when everyones available.

I must have watched a different game- his movement was poor and he sat in midfield more often than not allowing Bojan to go top, although I'm not sure if that was deliberate. When he wasn't up top he was offside.
He should have scored but didn't even attempt a header within the first ten minutes. That said his overhead shows he doesn't lack confidence but probably just needs time, which I think Hughes does really well, so as strange as it may seem with what I've said I've got high hopes for him and consider him more of a potential fox in the box than the all action displays Diouf or Walters could provide.

All about opinions of course but I thought he was an upgrade on Jon Walters and maybe that's why the club are a bit reluctant to offer Jon what he wants?

He just needs time to adapt to the league and style of play. Just as Shaqiri is starting to show and how Bojan needed that time. I think he's shown some quality and looks like a good prospect. I have hopes for him, unfortunately crouch's time has come and we need someone of his ilk in the squad and Josie can be that man imo.
