I can say without any doubt that this is the first season where I have ever deturchitated so in case I have upset anyone I apologise. wtf does it mean? Far from feeling deturchitated I'm feeling escampicised.

I think we will probably start with one new signing in the side on Sunday if Arnie is fit. I think that tells its own story about the window. I think that was always going to happen regardless who we signed ,

Indeed it does sheik especially when we will also start without our payer of the season , skipper and goalkeeper of the last three years , not to Mention our main counter attaché threat from last season .
Sad to see he manager exposed in this way not hard to see him feeling. Pretty let down by talk and media but no delivery can't believe he envisaged startimg the season with negative investment from the team that last played .

Potentially (nothing is guaranteed) we have the best squad ever at Stoke at this time. I also trust Sparky to put out a very strong 11.
Overall I think the only person we have sold that we will miss is NZonzi. Shawcross and Arnie missing is disappointing, but we have managed very well without them in spells last season.
Not shocked, not stunned.

Whatever team takes to the field on Sunday will be weaker than the side that started on May 24th imo mainly due to the loss of Shawcross. How anyone can argue with that is beyond me.Can MVG fill the massive gap left by N'Zonzi?None of us know the answer to that either.

We could conceivably start Sunday's game with 8 of the players that won our last Premier League fixture 6-1. Coming into the team could well be a signing from Barcelona who has 50 Holland caps, one who's won 50 England caps and one of England's best young goalkeepers. If you think that's limited, then fair enough. The OP is high end knicker wetting.....but......the three players missing are Ryan, Bego and Zonz. For me I think we will be weaker on Sunday than we were at the end of last season. I'm not overly worried but there's definitely a hint of trepidation. I've just pissed myself into my lylettes If only it was that convenient

It's not limited though is it? Certainly not dave but a bit disappointing considering that absolutely nothing that has happened can be considered a huge surprise. There can be no talk of bad luck or things not going our way. We have quite happily wandered into the situation we are in on Sunday, with the club's hierarchy constantly raising expectations in public all the way.

I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight worrying about the status of our "counter attaché threat". Just what the hell are we going to do about all those foreign diplomats?

In all seriousness, though, I don't agree with people picking up on Benji's post clarity, or lack thereof.
If anything, we should be encouraging him to make his posts more ilegible.

The problem we now have is, if any of our new signings don't cut the mustard and hit the ground running Sunday then these knicker wetters will be all over them like a rash! Never known a pre season where so many players have been written off before a ball has been kicked! And to say we have deturchitated an improved first 11...well that's just bollocks!

If some of this board were in charge, Bojan and Diouf would have been gone before their first league games, phrases like "fuck him off" and "he should never wear a Stoke shirt again" were thrown about, some absolute plonkers around, it's funny because they revel in negativity yet you'll never see them eating their words when we're doing well

I've been shocked and stunned a few times with Stoke but I'm not aware of being 'deturchitated'. You know what it is then ? I think it's what the quack did to me today Harry when he stuck a probe up my arse and took biopsies from my prostate. It fucking sounds something like it anyway.
