We would have lost the quarter at Sheff Wed.

And even if we had got and scored that penalty we would still only have been level in that game, Cov City could well have gone on to win the tie anyway.

How good was the FA Cup in those days?! Over 31,000 that day for a tie featuring two run of the mill sides, these days there'd be 15,000 there. Remember turning up that day as a nipper thinking we're were going all the way, but then I had the same feeling the season after until Graham Shaw blew his chance to be a hero......

The refs dad was a Stoke fan The ref didn't want to be accused of bias so he called all the 50/50 decisions Cov's way. There was a piece in the Sentinel about it maybe 5 years or so ago.

Depends on the team. I'd go for this
Buttland
Johnstone, ShawX, Wollschied, Peters
GCam, Sidwall
Arnie, Adams, Afelly
Mama
Did I tell you about the song I made up about Josely, to the tune of Sloop John Bee?

Right, genuine question. Is us the most biggest team to of never of winneded the FA Cup? Think I read somewhere we are the team that's spent the most time in the top flight without winning the league or fa cup. Could be wrong though.
