One of the best ever times to be a Stoke fan. I've still got the shirt from that year.

After the early season drdrdraw with Brighton I was severely pissed off and accidentally scared an old man on the bus to Hanley.

I went to every home and away game that season. The one that springs to mind is Hartlepool away. Gleghorn with a late header in the freezing cold

My first Stoke matches were in the 1992-93 season (not a bad first campaign!)
The first two matches I saw were BOTH 4-0: v Mansfield and v Chester. A pretty impressive start to life as a Stokie (it quickly went downhill in the following years!)
I ended up going to five games that season and there was no turning back. Because I'm a sad git I've counted that I've now been to 589 first team Stoke matches and it all runs back to that fantastic day in January 1993 when we thumped Mansfield.

I remember feeling annoyed we didn't score more. They had a player manager who was shite. Foster?

George Foster is now a euro scout for Swansea. Doing a great job by the looks of it.
