If I was Villa I'd be desperately searching for the "Cash out" button!

a lot has been said about the magic 32.5 million get out clause, to be honest The Villa dont care how much anyone else reckon he's worth, without his goals we'd of been long since relegated, so to us the MINIMUM he's worth is 32.5 million bearing in mind the financial meltdown if we miss out on the new TV monies and dont forget we have to pay Genk a % of any fee [comes to about 5 million i think], so for us it's a big loss and will cost to get someone else in, and if you look at his stats Lambert v Sherwood it's clear to see he'll score bucket loads in an attacking side , is he actually worth 32.5 million i very much doubt it but in todays game money is everything, he's a proven goalscorer where as Liverpool have just sold a POTENTIALLY top player for 49 million, the football world went mad when sky opened their wallet and will never be the same again

Benteke is very young with a lot of potential , in today's market it's probably about right If you said 20 mill.£ i would agree with you, 32,5 is just too much for a player that made 2 more goals then Diouf. Madness!! Compared to the £28 million Everton spent on lukaku I'd say it was a steal

With Sturridge being out again I think they had to do something. He doesn't seem to want to play Lambert and Mario B is shit.

Liverpooh had too pay QPR £10m of the money they got from Man Shitty for Forrest Gump, now they're investing most of it in a player that for long periods of last season was a bit wank. Gouranga.

32 million is a ridiculous fee but there is no mistaking he's a very good player and sadly, you would think, would be a very good signing for Liverpool.

Jesus Christ. What would a defender of his age and quality go for between two, say, Italian clubs? 6 million? English football really is fucked.

I have to say that swapping Sterling for Benteke & £17m is good business whatever way you look at it.
That said, I fully expect Brenda to wave his magic wand and turn a very good player into an ineffective toothless wonder.

Agree 32 million is stupid, but like you i agree i think he is a brillant forward, young, strong, fast, brave and scores goals.Injuries are a problem.Think he would become a better player at Man Utd than Liverpool though.I would go as far to say if Man Utd signed him they will win the league.

Im actually getting bloody tired of this tirade Sorenson 82
Yes Ill admit I had my doubts over Diouf and he hardly exactly proved himself early doors and I said I had my doubts
and he wasnt proving himself
over the season however, he proved himself and Im more than happy with him
if thats worthy of me 'slagging him off' 'in ways you could not make up'
be happy in your own rather sad, deluded and twisted little mans world - thats all I can say really
and it it makes you happy - Ill even admit I was wrong
will that possibly make you shut the fuck up ?
your boring me to the point of annoyance now
and whilst we at it 'up the fuck' - Benteke for £32m or Doiuf on free - where is the value ?
is that not the fucking point ? really ? REALLY ?? (sometimes I fucking despair - I really do )

In the current market they're getting value for money. Benteke is a top top player who carries Villa's entire goal threat on his shoulders. Quick, strong, good in the air and scores with his feet. If Liverpool create chances and keep him and Sturridge fit then they could challenge the top 4 again. Villa will be in the mire now, let's see how long Delph's loyalty lasts.[/quote] Will you buy my lottery tickets for tomorrow?

It's a fair price. He's a beast of a player when fit and every defender in the league would say the same.It is silly money but it has been like that for years now. The worry for Liverpool and Benteke is that Rodgers rarely gets the best out of most of the players he signs which is why he will probably go to Man United.

Villa and Liverpool have agreed a fee for Christian Benteke of £32.5million. £49 million for Sterling. £8 million for Jonny Evans. Has the world gone stark raving mad? It is when we get £7m for Nzonzi and £8M for Bego... makes no sense. Points to tying them in on 4 year deals on signing and renewing at 2 and we then may get what their worth is if they want to go.

And in our case if they want to sign an extension . Begovic and nzonzi both ran down there contracts . Had both of these players signed an extension they would have undoubtedly had release clauses anyway
