Nobody has suggested that though! Haugaard deserves the chance, he happens to be young. Ireland is doing nowt on the bench, we have a youngster who plays in his position, there's no harm replacing a player who doesn't come on with a player likely not to come on. Ireland can change a game, he's proved it. Shenton would be better off on loan in the Championship. I'd be tempted to start him Pugs but he can barely get a look in, I don't see the point. I agree but he's not and the window is shut so....

Haugaard for me, he's been training all season and deserves his chance with Jack out, if he struggles then we can bring in Given.
Given is vastly experienced but he's an old man in footballing terms (even for a goalkeeper), he's also been injured for most of the season. I know he will be desperate to get in the team so he has a chance at making the Irish squad this summer but we have to do what is right for Stoke City.
That said, I'm sure we will be fine with either of them in goal, you don't get to be a goalkeeper in the premier league nowadays unless you are top class, the competition is ridiculously high.

Why does it stink Bayern ? Haugard has only played 2 FA cup games so he's hardly been pushed aside He was always the number 3 Because he is the future of the club and deserves the chance to show he's good enough. Given looked rusty after he'd been training for months, play the younger lad, give him the chance. It's the only decsion that makes sense for the club. Oh well Bayern Perhaps he did need time after all

Not at fault for the 2nd and 4th though. That's just being harsh.

You have to give these lads the chance. Even now, two games isn't enough.
He's sat behind a back four that has been chopped and changed through injury and even today has a left back carrying a knock and the captain at around 50%.
We have to give him a run until the end of the season. It will give us the answers that two games won't.

Honestly if the plan is to persevere with Haugaard to the end of the season then we can forget top half.
And to tell us what exactly that we don't already know, that he isn't a Premier League keeper yet?
We may as well just have the commercial department run a fans raffle for keeper and chuck the proceeds in the Donna Louise Trust.
It's lunacy.

They're young do they deserve a chance too
