Great- see you lot on Saturday! Sounds like yesterday was good!
Looks like it's pretty easy to get to the ground on the MRT from there?

It's the first pre season game so can't be too judgementle but how do you lot feel traveling all that way after that performance?Hope you enyou your £10 pint. And for the record I have so far not paid 10 quid for a pint. Far from it in fact. Me and the missus just stopped by Raffles, 38 quid for a Singapore sling. Fucking hell they are nice, especially after 4 of the fuckers. EACH..... But we then started on the Pinot Grigio's....18 quid a glass, or £80 quid a bottle...Necked 2 bottles and took one home... If I had known you were stopping off at The Long Bar I would have joined you.We are staying at Raffles for a couple of nights.Wife not happy. She sees it as money wasted that can be better used on shopping. On check in at the hotel they gave us complementary Singapore Slings. So we are sitting in these high chairs in the lobby of this colonial hotel waiting for our butler to show us to our room with two glasses of Slings on the table between us. Naturally, the wife, being Thai wants a photo. So I take a photo of her and the two Slings. As I hand her the ipad back I knock over my full glass of Sling, all over the table. Our butler turns up with a tea towel to mop up the mess. Not one to waste 15quids worth of alcohol I ask him if he can wring the towel out back into the glass. He somewhat sniffily tells me "that would not be appropriate Sir!". He takes an even dimmer view of my request to be allowed to suck the end of the towel (my thinking being that this is where all the alcohol will tend to gravitate to). This hotel sucks!(excuse the pun).

Whilst that is 'very Asian', I was amazed at that happened in an establishment where you are paying ridiculous pennies for a beverage.

Words simply cannot express what an absolute great afternoon we had. Far too many to mention, but big up to Franklin and his lad, Dark Side, Obviously Jo in Oz, Tuum, Ely, MUMPH ( Who I thought was MUMF ) Ange, the lads with the tribute banner to your pal ( Lads...you are true supporters...) Seychelles, my god I just cannot remember all the names, I'd say at least 150 stokies came by today, and how good was the Delilah that we did for the sentinel, and Pete...Massive thanks for joining us...And it is Sevilla...Not Seville... Now....There is a rumour, and it is just a rumour, that on Saturday our very own Peter Coates may pop by and say hi, that would be awesome, also Tony Scholes, either would be great, both would be incredible. And to everyone who thanked me for organising it, all I did was put a suggestion on, and the fact that you all came was simply IMENSE. Lets see if we can emulate it, or even better it, and may I sugest for Saturdays game if it is not crowded we try to sit together and carry on the party spirit. You will notice that I have not mentioned the result. well that would sort of take the shine of a massive day for true stokies from literally every corner of the globe. My little chap absolutely loved it..... Was ace in Murphys! I would love to all sit together and make se noise. I made a bit with some of my mates. Doubt anyone heard on tv though?

Couldn't hear a thing from Stoke fans on TV, wrightspies. Looked like a small crowd for the match, with everybody turning up for the later one. I wonder if the locals will be interested in seeing their Singapore Select XI on Saturday or just turn up to see Arsenal later on? Apparently they've sold about 45,000 tickets for the day whereas yesterday was 30,000.

Just to let you know that Tony Scholes is planning to pop down to Murphy's on Saturday around 1.30. I am not sure if that will be seen as a reason to attend or go elsewhere, but I was asked to see if he would attend and he is keen to do so. Hopefully, it'll be a positive experience for all see you on Saturday

To be fair it was empty and trust me the Stoke fans were singing and most of the 90minutes hard to make much impression in such a large ground. We were out numbered by the local Everton fans but dunna know what it was like on tv but i never heard them much. Bring on saturday

Do any of you knowledgeable folk know how to find or aware of a link to the photos the Sentinel chap was taking at Muddy Murphy's. He told me they would be up on the site as a slide show. I have searched and searched but to no avail.
I wish we could be there on Saturday too, but, we fly back to Sydney tomorrow. From this heat to crazy winter weather at home

Saw an article in the Sentinel that the Traders League may be going under on its 50th anniversary! Is that what has you so angry mate? Conner find a side to play for? First the fiasco in Ozzie land and then this? Does this signal the end of your once promising career?

Spent the day at the national museum and Fort Canning. Quick walk down to Clarke Quay. Lots of bars down there with pints at HH at 10$sing. Golf and cricket on the TV's. Had a meal on the edge of Chinatown...just chose a place full of locals. $33total for 6 plates +drinks. Walked back through Circular Road. Great bar called Boomerang full of expats.Cricket and golf on big screens. Cricket with commentary. Circular Road had a few bars with provocatively dressed ladies. Could get messy if you have few drinks with these girls keeping you company for an hour or two.
