Thought I'd put this in a new thread. Muddy Murpyh's looks like a good place, as does the beer exchange. Both featured in this link. How about 2pm onwards on the Wednesday, then if it turns out OK same on Sat. Failing that find another. I bet there will be a fair few Arse and Everton there and should be a bit of a party atmosphere. www.thebestsingapore.com/best-entertainment/the-best-5-sport-bars-in-singapore/

It's been a while since I popped on here, but just wanted to point out the Beer Market Exchange only opens at 6pm. I'll see some of you in Muddy Murphy's on the Saturday all being well.

Can't help you on that one, sorry. I'm not in Singapore, I'm in Australia (as a result I'd prefer to avoid Aussie bars- see enough of them here!!!).
I just did a quick bit of research online to find out opening hours. I really like the concept of the Beer Market Exchange though. Post match beverages?!
I went to Singapore for the F1 a couple of years ago and they put a huge inflation on taxi fares for the influx of tourists. Not sure if they'll do a similar thing for the football, but keep it in mind. It was something like a flag fare of $15 from memory.

Arsenal ( local ones at least) are likely to head for one of two ( or both) Molly Raffey's , home to their official Singapore supporters club ,
To add the beer exchange , heard the concept isnt quite as good in reality as it first appears , believe that's the local base for Liverpool fans..amongst their games around that time they play in Thailand on the 14th then Brisbane on the 17th

And I will start the 1st Delilah..... ooooh my hero... (only joking, well done for arranging the trip mate). my bit: clarke quay is where you want to be lads, if not before the game, deffo after, but the KPO is the one to meet at. muddy murphy's is S$13 a pint theme pub...that's over £8.00 each by the time you change your money... To meet i'd recommend the KPO (the old post office at Killiney) , a proper decent and very cool local Sing bar, dead easy to find via taxi or MRT at the intersections between Orchard rd, Killiney rd and the Penang rd, (hence KPO). theme pubs are ten a penny and shite in Sing, designed to fleece.... like HK, taxis are very reasonable in Sing, just make sure you ask for the meter to be on, don't barter a price, demand the meter be on.

I want to try a range of food before I get the diacalm out.

Very close to subway line, KPO, 4 floors of Whores. And not too far from our hotel Paul. www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Muddy+Murphy's+Irish+Pub/@1.3003362,103.8374812,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x31da198cb66f9bf9:0x35e0eb0f251a2ccb

I dont know about you lot going to Singapore but in my opinion you,re mad,its a lot of money to spend for two games when there,ll be plenty of friendlies in England. I would,nt mind go myself but have choosen not to as not my cup of tea.

I get your point but some people will be going elsewhere whilst holidaying in SE Asia whereas others like myself live out here so it is much easier to get to see Stoke in Singapore then it is back at home.

The football may be the reason for going but there will be plenty to do that I wouldn't normally do. In an amazing country by the look of it. Also the pre season tours have been some of the best times of my life.

Edit - Just checked and it was you. Just what the fuck is your beef with other people going? I get that you think it's a waste of money, but it isn't your money, why the fuck d'you have such a problem with how other spend theirs? I just don't get it.

I know its a lot of money but it's a trip of a life time for me and my boy and he's buzzing about it. I will get to as many games as I can and have never been overseas to watch Stoke but I was excited about Singapore so decided to go. I'm not loaded but scrimped and saved to go and it's sorted and even at my age I cant wait. Don't be miserable about fans watching you should be proud we have dedicated fans wanting to go and support the team.

So I see but as most guys are on a tight budget like me and my lad who both have around 100 dollars a day looks like I'm blowing most of it on beer Food is cheap I think so to be fair £8 is not too bad but would prefer it cheaper as we all would. Might have to visit the local off licence every morning But me and my lad are just going to have a great time, see a few sights and enjoy the week.
