It's always hard to see the players go who helped us get to where we are today. Rob had been a fantastic player for us, I'm gutted he's going but it's a great deal all round. Thanks for everything Rob you will go down as a Stoke City great

Sad to see Huthy go, but I wish the big man well. He's been a great servant to us and a breath of fresh air at times. "Nein cock." *chuckle*

If ever there was a man or footballer made for Stoke, it was Huth. Hard as nails, uncomplicated and loves to take the piss. What's not to love? His 'drink beer and shag lots of women' summer message for Stoke fans is my favourite memory. (I can't find it, what was the actual quote?)

One of my fav moments from Huthy was at Anfield against Suarez. Suarez had just made an outrageous dive between Huth and Wilson both Huth and Wilson just gave him a patronising pat on the head. Classy Robert lad will miss you.

drjeffs that picture of Huth Tommy and Ryan is one of my favourite from the last few years. What a day, and what a belting goal the German got.

Man, even this morning, I felt crap about Huth going. I will always back Hughes because his stock is so high right now, but I do feel like we could regret this move. Have we fucked up big style here?

I preferred this... Indeed - the gif is better though.. Its natural momentum, that. The natural momentum of a big German stamping on a cheating shit shack.

Thanks for everything Rob. muniesa isnt his replacement, he was here already, the replacement is wollsheid, thats who they paid money for to cover the loss of a centre half, and for the record, hughes can give him that, but he chooses not to ( for reasons unknown to us all ) and thats his prerogative, but dont make huth out to sound like some 40 yr old has been,

Wolly is back up for Shawcross IMO. I've no idea how I made Huth sound a 40 year old has been, I never said he was too old or past it.

I am hoping that someone cleverer than me with Technology and with some time to spare could put together a little video montage of the best bits of Huthy in a Stoke shirt...a fitting farewell present and a keepsake for all us 'Big German Youth; fans

Makes us look fantastic as a club this, shows what a fantastic bunch of players we have.
Wish we could have found room for him. Hero.

I am not getting involved in anything that should be interpreted as belittling Robert Huth who I hold in as high regard as anyone and I'm only quoting one post as a representative of quite a few but: Reality check is that we have managed quite well without him for 1 and a half years. Our goals against is as good as it has ever been despite the fact that we now allow players into the opposition half and don't build a wall of humans in front of our own goal. Our league position is better than ever over that period. I'm just saying I have real difficulty in viewing Huth moving on as the world ending mega fuck up and I haven't seen anything to remotely justify that statement.
