Colossal player, tremendous professional and all round great bloke. Things move on, but Robert will be remembered fondly and is a modern day legend.

So, how will we all feel when he comes back to the Brit? What sort of reception will he get? Gotta respect Huth!

What an absolute legend, sad to see him go but deserves to be playing first team football. All the very best Mr Huth

Seems so long ago now when we were giving out bloody noses, upsetting the purists, the siege mentality, the club and ground roaring back into life. An essential part in getting us where we stand right now. Absolute top professional and we would never had done it without the single mindedness of players like huth. Good luck fella and thanks!

It just won't be the same without Huth. Though I suppose we've got used to it in recent times.
I hope it is £3m rising to £4m though...
Rob Tanner @robtannermerc 58m58 minutes ago The £3 million figure quoted as agreed by #lcfc for Huth may initially be a fair bit less than that. #bargain

Huth is one of my favourite players, but as has been said, time moves on. He's guaranteed a huge reception when he comes back, but my question is this:
How will people feel if he puts a tackle in on Bojan and deliberately goes through him?
Now we all know he's capable.

Where as Huth deserve every bit of praise he gets from fans, you have to admit we have moved on from his style.
I hope Wolscheidd's season is not hampered by constant comparisons to Huth, they are different players and I still think our new German defender has a lot to give - people have alienated a few dodgy moments.
Massive respect for Robert though, I will never forget being at school and walking past the training ground on my way to a games lesson and saw him heading to his car. I had a quick picture with him and said I'm going Everton away at the weekend Robert, I'm going to have a bet on you first scorer so you better do the business. He said 'I will do my best for you my friend' and we both stuck to our word, a trademark bullet head from a corner if I remember rightly. Knicked a tenner off me Dad before the game and got odds of about 28/1 outside the ground . . . Not a bad pay day for a 16 year old! Never did get the chance to thank him!

Why would you ever want to 'move on' from tough as teak, heart on sleeve defending, with a burning desire to win your personal one on one battles and an equal desire to help your mates, if they're not winning there's. Are we really saying that a player schooled at Chelsea and in the German youth set up can't handle a ball from the goalkeeper and pass it to a team mate?

Have to agree with this - Huth has qualities that are indispensable in a squad of players.

The closest we ever had to good old Bluto, and alongside rock solid defender alongside Smithy, one of our best pairings ever. Huth/Shawcross- Bloor/Smith, the epitome of good defenders.

Be a bitter pill to see him lining up against us at the brit only 6 weeks into the new season.
I'm sure he'll get the reaction he deserves. A bloody fantastic one!

What a dumb piece of business this is Huth out and Wolly in! Hughes might know how to pick an attacking player but clearly struggles when it comes to CBs. Huth is one of the genuine recent legends and is up there with Smith and Shawcross as the three best defenders to have pulled on a Stoke shirt in recent times. Its a sad day for Stoke and Leicester have got themselves one hell of a guy

What a great partnership he had with Shawcross. This is a massive lose as we havent got the pairing that these 2 offer. I also believe Shawcross is a better player when hes lining up with him. Cracking signing for leicester. He will be missed
