its the off season and I'm bored so thought I come up with a team that were very good in their day but not so by the time we signed them. Feel free to add to it 1 Neville southall 2 John gidman 3 Derek statham 4 mark Higgins 5 Dominic matteo 6 Gerry daly 7 lee hendrie 8 Brian Talbot 9 eider gudjonson 10 Michael Owen 11 Patrick Berger
These are players I've seen playing and can only remember Talbot and Hendrie having any good games.

Indeed
Waddo signed a host of top quality players who were past their prime.

I don't think Paul Williams was ever given a fair chance with us.
Marco Gabbiadini & Paul Stewart were both major let downs

Thought Bruce was excellent for the 4 games he played. Gutted he was recalled.

Kitson, Top goal scorer at reading had a half decent career before but when joining stoke his career took a nose dive.
in my opinion he wasnt really given a decent chance and joining Stoke did him no favours.

I don't think Paul Williams was ever given a fair chance with us. Marco Gabbiadini & Paul Stewart were both major let downs Gabbiadini and Stewart were both major waist sizes! Had a fatness regime all of their own.

Had a fatness regime all of their own. Williams would give them a run* for their money! *by run I mean slight jog/fast walk over a distance of less than 5 metres

If Owen was really fit as he said he would have scored 15 goals had pulls played him and maybe done a second season

Owen was just a strange signing. He was never a TP striker, then TP played him behind the striker? And then on the wing? He showed with that Swansea goal he still had the instinct. Just a bat shit mental signing that the Oatcake made happen!
