From the Pulis era; De Goey (slightly unfair, he was good, but also past his best, no real rivals, Pulis has a good eye for keepers, no doubt Woodgate Upson Matteo Griffin Chadwick (see De Goey) Berger, Diao (see De Goey) Gudjonson Carew Owen What a load of bollocks. Griffin & Diao? Diao was the best midfielder in the league the year we went up. No doubt, but he joined us on the down slope of his career. Forgot about Palacios though

Roy Vernon David Herd Geoff Hurst (Harsh?) Alan Suddick Alex Elder Dennis Tueart Alleluia............. Joe Corrigan Dominic Matteo Matthew Upson Gerry Daly Ed de Goey Viv Busby Brian Talbot Jimmy Robertson (Harsh?) Harry Gregg Marco Gabbiadini Wayne Clarke Micky Adams Nigel Worthington Lee Mills Deon Burton John Gidman John Devine Vince Hilaire Gary Bannister Barry Siddall Micky Gynn Interesting take on career nearly over there march for Deon Burton as he is still playing 13 years after his last game for Stoke. Surely John Devine is only on the list because he badly broke his leg when he was 28. While Roy Vernon was probably my least favourite player in Waddo's mid60s team, having spent 5 years at Stoke, I again think he doesn't deserve to be on the same list as Alec Lindsay and John Gidman.

I reckon we wouldn't be far off 11 goalkeepers without counting outfield players
