Do you own a car? I will assume that you do. Will it be ok for me to pop round and tell you how much you must sell it to me for? I haven't told anything about the price you must sell him. I just say English market is overpriced, that's it. If you can't afford the prices at Harrods then shop in Aldi. Simple.

I haven't told anything about the price you must sell him. I just say English market is overpriced, that's it. I'll concede that for English players it is overpriced, however your clubs valuation of Steven falls far, far short of his real value. He does very well in a competitive premier league, so would ruin most of the clubs in your league on his own. In short, Sevilla must our valuation or move on to some other target. I haven't told anything about the price you must sell him. I just say English market is overpriced, that's it. Well I say tough shit. You have to pay closer to what he's worth rather than try and take the piss. He plays in the premier league, not in Spain, therefore you will have to pay more than you would like. I would rather force feed him pies for the next few months and turn him into a fat twat than sell him to Sevilla for a pittance. Come back with a better offer or you won't get him, nor would you deserve to. www.transfermarkt.es/steven-nzonzi/profil/spieler/73734

Is this sort of suggesting that you cannot afford him? We can definitely afford him, but the fact is that Sevilla doesn't want to spend a lot of money in just 1 player. Are Seville a registered charity?

If he's forced to stay because we won't accept Sevilla's derisory offer I think we will see full sulk mode from Nzonzi for the entire season and we won't get anywhere near the best out of him. I feel that he (and the "advice" from his bloody father) will ensure that we regret not selling him. Far from this being a season to look forward to and with the distinct possibility of it being our best ever Prem season yet again, I am becoming concerned that the disruption and upheaval caused by Nzonzi (and Bego to a much lesser extent) could have a major detrimental effect on our performances. We shouldn't accept Sevilla's current offer, but I feel it is in the club's best interests to cash in on him in this window and then bring in the required players ASAP. This will then give the team/squad as much pre-season together as possible. What N'zonzi - and more specifically Seville - have to realise is that he's contracted to Stoke City for another year at least. We don't have to accept any offer unless it's in the best interests of the club, despite what their army of Twitter idiots may think. As for sulking, well if SN thinks that's the way to impress potential suitors if he does have to see out the last year of his contract then he's a silly boy. There wasn't much in his body language last season to suggest that he may be against another year at Stoke imo though.

With respect some crappy website means nothing. You may as well put up one of Carto's reports from Football Manager! Transfermarkt isn't shit. I think it's the best website nowadays to look for players and its market values. But then if Stoke considers NZonzi is worth way more, I respect it.

The problem we have is that we surely have an unsettled player on our hands now, whose head is already in Sevilla. In effect, he is damaged goods. We either turn down another derisory offer from them, and keep a player who doesn't want to be at the club and get nothing for him come next summer, or we accept the best offer that we think they will make (even if it is as low as 5 million quid) or wait to see if another bidder comes forward before 31st August with a bigger offer.

Nope, we just know what we have and what we can spend. Let me tell you that with this method of working, we've won 4 UEFA Cups, 2 Supercups, 1 Copa del Rey and now in Champions. Ain't that bad, right?

If we could guarantee a season even approaching what we saw last season from N'Zonzi, I'd happily take the risk of him leaving for nothing this time next year.
But it's up to the management to work out if his head's in the right place to make that a possibility.

It is bullshit (sorry for being offensive) compared to how Spanish teams work in here, and it's just because how you spend the money there. Whichever team in the 4-5th place here can compete without any doubt against top clubs in England, and that's all because you don't know how to deal with money. Let's say Stoke here in Spain has a level equivalizing Real Sociedad or even less, you just have to see how Spanish teams do in European competitions compared to English. It's just my opinion, I hope you can continue in that method of working for much longer. It'd mean you won't be able to compete in Europe against us. And that's reality.

I was, perhaps naively, expecting Zonz to sign a new contract, particularly if we managed to get Shaqiri. The rumours do seem to be gathering pace though as regards to Sevilla and sadly Sevilla and Zonz are in a position to force the issue here. There's been no other interest reported apart from Leicester and that was always a none starter. Sevilla are likely to get him cheap and there is no doubt he will be a massive success for them because he is a Rolls Royce of a midfield player. I will take small consolation at the end of each season as Sevilla try to deal with his annual transfer requests.

OK, but you need something to see more less how much the player costs before you go and negotiate with him, right? The buying club needs something to get an estimation of how much he costs just before they stablish the first offer.

Peter Coates is a business man. He won't be happy that this situation has developed in the first place and he'll be even less happy to lose him for nothing. It just doesn't fit with the new ethos of 'self sufficiency'.
If SN'Z isn't prepared to sign a new deal then he will be sold. It might be a late deal and it might be as late as January, but he won't leave for nothing.

I'm not talking about your club as an example, I'm talking about the Premier League in general. I think it's by far the best league in the whole world in organization but it's way worse than Spanish League or Calcio in how competitive clubs are, and I honestly think the main factor that affects that is the way you buy and how much you pay for them. That's it. I'm not obviously talking about Stoke because I got no idea how you work.

The fact is the only reason you are still in the picture is nobody else has shown interest , as for playing at a higher level , why aren't the big English clubs beating a path to our door .

Quite agree, if Zonz wants to sign for Sevilla he will sign for Sevilla at a price Sevilla dictate, that's an unfortunate reality. It's pointless talking about keeping him next season and letting him go on a free (ironically this would be Zonz's best option!!) Why keep an under motivated player for a season and risk damage to team moral. The best we can hope for is another larger European side will express an interest very soon.
