I tell you now nobody would turn that money down on here. I love it when people tell us that "nobody would.....", because there are always exceptions to every statement While I might not be on £40k a week I could double my earnings tomorrow (doing the same job) by moving to London. (I have been offered and turned down a number of such opportunities - I could even stay with my current Company if I wanted) However, I already earn enough to allow me to lead the kind of lifestyle I want and therefore I can (and do) have different priorities in my life than just earning more money. I know some of you seem to find it difficult to believe, but, beyond a certain point, money really isn't that important. As my old gran used to say "Shrouds don't have pockets!" Fair enough but you are looking at earning your present 'sufficient wage' for the rest of your working life to fund the lifestyle you want. Footballers are likely to be out of a job at, say 36, (or earlier if some career threatening injury occurs) so they have to make hay while the sun shines. If you thought your earning capacity could end at any time, you would be squirrelling money away for possible harsh winters ahead in your life.

If we insist on a loan player as well I'd prefer a deal with Chelsea, can't think of anyone available for loan at United I'd take. I'd take januzaj mate. Not sure what people see in him tbh, hasn't really done much as yet from what I've seen.

First choice at Man United vs 2nd choice at Chelsea. Either way it'll add a million or two onto his price

Hopefully Man u do come in with an offer if only to bump up his price, he would definitely get more games at Man U than Chelsea, and it would mean he would not have to move.

You would think this would be particularly true given the levels of income top PL footballers are on. Surely there's only so much money you can spend or need even to secure yourself very comfortably for the rest of your life ? I always find it difficult to understand why the difference between say £50k a week (a week ) and say £70k is (allegedly) such a big deal to a player compared with where he would live; effect on family, what it does to playing career prospects etc etc.

I would rather receive more cash than a loanee. That deal never works well for the sellig club. In fact, it's demeaning.

With Joselu, Diouf and Crouch aswell as Walters and Odem can't see us doing this

With Joselu, Diouf and Crouch as well as Walters and Odem can't see us doing this Not what we need at all. But are we now to assume that: a.) Chelsea isn't done and dusted b.) Man United are confirmed to be very seriously in for him?

James Wilson is a big talent (apparently) but we can't exactly guarantee him first team football can we? Januzaj.. now we're talking.

Why can't we have Janujaz (sic) as part of the Bego deal? Why a loan?

Still at Chelsea as it stands, so what do you suggest? Surely if we sign januzaj and he hits form it's good for us, cos quite clearly we're pissing in the wind chasing the likes of konopolyanka and shaqiri.

Januzaj would be a good shout.
If not him, how about Lingard? Not really seen much of him but he seems to have done well in the Championship.

Januzaj is not a patch on Arnautovic.
