It had completely escaped me that Leicester have lost only 2 games all season.
Wowsers. They are going great guns and I genuinely hope that they can hang on in there and do the unthinkable.
Great start to his Bournemouth career by Afobe as well. 3 in 4 and looking a real threat.

They're an inspiration to all other teams that maybe thought challenging the established top teams was beyond them.

That's the counter argument but the fact is they've only lost 2 in 24 and are averaging just over 2 points and nearly 2 goals a game which would have put them 2nd last year and 4th the year before. I have kept saying the bubble would burst but it hasn't and even if they lost every game between now and May they've still done superbly well.

I'm actually going to do the unthinkable and defend bayernoatcake. While the whole "He really is shit" looks a bit embarrassing now, he WAS absolutely fucking dreadful last year. Leicester fans thought he was awful and wanted him gone. Read the FoxesTalk thread about him and it's all people laughing at those who said he was shit last year. Funny that. Vardy is having an amazing season and the goal yesterday was wonderful. However, hindsight is always a funny old thing. Ripping Bayern for a post he made ages ago that was arguably applicable at the time is a bit of a joke really. He said it at a time where it was possibly true. No logic. As for Vardy himself, I'm not convinced he'll be anything more than a one season wonder but I'm ready to be proven wrong. Unfortunately for Jamie, time isn't really on his side.

Some would STILL have Rooney ahead of Vardy for England.

He is a player who expects to score playing for a team that expects to win. The mind set plays a powerful role in these things. All credit to the back room staff at LCFC - they have done remarkable things.

Some would STILL have Rooney ahead of Vardy for England. Nothing to do with reputation. His goal scoring record before he made it into the Prem was ok, nothing special. I can bet Jordan Rhodes has scored a shit load more championship goals than Vardy. He looked out of his depth last year, to the point that he wasn't getting games. You're right that on the relegation saving run he hit good form. That's great champ. It proves fuck all though. Michael Ricketts was for one season as deadly as it comes..... How did that pan out? Malcolm Christie another..... There's many. Sure, none of those went on an 11 game scoring run but the idea that Vardy is world class because of this run alone is hilarious. When he's done it consistently for two or more seasons then we'll come back. Owen, Torres, Van Nistelrooy, Henry etc are spoken of on reputation because time and time again they delivered.

If he and they can replicate this form next season then fair enough. However, I doubt that will happen.

As for Vardy himself, I'm not convinced he'll be anything more than a one season wonder but I'm ready to be proven wrong. Unfortunately for Jamie, time isn't really on his side. He wasn't awful at all last year. He was often playing a different role to the one he's playing now, he was being asked to be the support striker to Ulloa, chasing back more and running the channels and getting the ball into the box, more than being the central striker being fed by the others. If you look at his assist stats last year they were high, about 8 or 9 for the season. Excluding penalties that his pace won, which would have been 3 or 4. He also had to contend with Pearson playing four centre mids and no wingers for a huge stretch, zero creativity. Then being played a winger some games. We've switched it to Vardy being up top and Okazki being the support striker, we're playing much more to his strengths. As for what people thought on foxestalk, well... most are known for having zero patience with players.

I've been perfectly happy with him for the last three years, so who cares... even if he never scores at these levels again... what a season it has been.

The comments on here about Leicester are truly playground pathetic.
Things like:
Where will they be in two years?
Vardy ain't that good.
Flash in pan.
There aren't that good.
And only because of this, that and the other are they top ...
You'd this was some bitter gloryhunters website.

BBC news creaming themselves over his goal last night. Didn't look that different from Shaqiri's effort against Everton to me, but then that was intended as a cross, was it?

I've never known any team ever, go as long have they have done having hardly any injuries, suspensions, or bad luck.
Everything they do, of attempt is going in. Take it while it's happening but it's got to change for them soon.
