Being linked to a £5m move to Newcastle, wonder if we would be prepared to let him go?.

Hope not, he seems happy here and it's a reasonably simple travel to the Brit from Blackpool . Expensive to replace

Net spend will be the test of our investment . Strategy I wouldn't rule out this kind of departure in addition to begovich gives a £15 million war chest and At 20 million a net of 5 would not be a big surprise

14 premier league goals in the last 2 seasons under Hughes isn't to be sniffed at. Probably from around 30+ starts in total as well.
It'd be a significant void to fill.
I suppose if God gets and stays fit, he'll more than bridge the gap.
I'd be tempted to keep Adam until January at least.

Fuck that. He is far too important a player to let him go. £5 million is a piss take anyway.

I do like Charlie off the bench when we need attacking muscle. That'd be a goal void which needs to be filled... Personally I'd like him to stay as long as it suits both parties.

I agree with that mate, bojan mustnt be rushed back too quickly and charlie is the ideal replacement. If i was gonna let anyone go it would be ireland. But it all depends if someone else is coming in and indeed if zonz is gonna stay as well!

You have to factor in what the player and his agent want. We don't exactly seem to be falling over ourselves to offer him a new contract do we? 3 years, a signing on fee and a loyalty bonus from Stoke might appeal to someone of his age, however happy he is here.

Certainly made us tick in the second half of the season and scored some important goals. Keep for me too. Suppose if Charlie thinks he will play every game up there and get more money it could be down to him

Can't see us letting him go even at a decent price like that. His importance to the squad should not be underestimated.

"We are looking to ADD to the quality of our squad in this window" *Hughes and PC are quoted saying.. I dont think we will part with any of our big stars if we can help it. PC said years ago we don't need to sell to buy, keep the faith its Europe we are after lads

Can't see us letting him go even at a decent price like that. His importance to the squad should not be underestimated. I agree but failing Bojan's injury he most likely wouldn't have got a game. A bit like Arnie neither Adam appear to get match fit until Feb at least. I would much rather get rid of Ireland but given the length of his contract and Charlie's probable higher market value I think he may be on the managers list to raise funds

I wouldn't sell Charlie for £5 million, important squad player and scores some pretty important goals. Plus These Gumbo's paid £6 million for that cow pat Rivierre, Charlie is 10 times the player.
Definite piss take.

Tip for Stoke City fans....
You can't have enough good players at your club, especially those who know where the back of the net is.

We really need to get our fingers out of our arse and offer him a contract then. I hope so, Bojan with Adam & Ireland as back up/cup runs gives us real strength in depth, a push for 6th will need this. Our injury list this year has proven that you need premier league back up in all positions, I guess this is why it is so hard to bring kids through.
