Come on Mark get in there, that's a bargain price for a good player!

Seems to be a good signing for Spurs, especially at that price. Looks a very solid player. And Spurs and sensible signings don't normally go hand in hand.
Doesn't seem like they like the look of Yedlin having seen him up close.Pace to burn, but maybe not much else?

Would be really dissappointed if we weren't in there for him.

There is LITERALLY NOTHING factual in that article that suggests they're in for him at all, i think its just press conjecture. Having recently bought Dier, Davies, Yedlin and Wimmer are they really after another defender anyway?

Although I did like him at Swansea, he's a left back anyway. Dier is a centre half. Wimmer is a centre half. No doubt those two will replace the hapless Chicheres and I think Kaboul is leaving and Fazio doesn't look the best. Yedlin I don't think he trusts. Trippier would do them an excellent job.

We've got to go in and show these other teams that we mean business. I want us to compete with the best next season. Again! Do not let them get away again! This is not a moan. We all want us to compete. Don't we?

I agree with you but signing Trippier would also add to a rather bloated squad a is. Also; tottenham, under guidance of Poch and Baldini, have probably the worst recruitment policy ever and will probably dismiss Trippier and sign a shite Argentine instead. Fingers crossed.

I don't think their squad is that bloated tbh! They have 2 right backs but one is an American who they seemingly don't trust and the other is Walker who isn't the best. I think they do actually need him.

Add to that players like Dembele who just don't feaure, a worrying GK situation with Friedel retiring and Lloris likely leaving. As bad as this sounds Walker might be one of their strongest players in the grand scheme of things and they will need to strengthen other areas first.

They'll get takers for them too, they always do. For 3.5m quid you can't really go wrong for what they're likely to spend.

Again i agree, £3.5m for Trippier is a steal and the majority of Prem clubs will be interested. My point specifically regarding Spurs is that they need to overhual their Goalkeepers, Centre halves, Centre Midfield and Strikers (bar Kane) first. Depth wise i think they'll be content with Walker and Yedlin, allowing the latter to bed in, for the time being.

You are spot on with all that. Davies has not really cut it. Chirches and Kaboul are off. Jury still out on Fazio but back up at best. Word is Yedlin has not impressed so far. Kyle walker offers nothing but pace. He is brain dead. Fortunately he has been telling anyone who will listen that he is off to Liverpool. Fingers crossed Rodgers stays and is silly enough to pay Levy's price. Trippier is an excellent defender, in my book.

And in fainress, Yedlin has the potential to be a good player. He certainly looked the part at the World Cup.

Eric Dier has come on well this season but Poch wants him as a centre back. He can certainly whip a good cross into the box though.

They need to get Yedlin out on loan or sell him. We need to know if he can be a consistent performer for the USMNT. Can't have him just making up the numbers at Spurs.

Will try to answer all the Spurs bits in here:
The thought is that Yedlin was brought over as a marketing ploy because he is supposedly so highly thought of in the states. Believe it or not Spurs have more supporters club sin North America than any other English team. I know, I was surprised too!
Someone suggested Yedlin should go out on loan and I believe this is the plan for next season.
Regarding, Dier. Stoke tore all our players apart - not just this kid. You were too good for us both times this season.
What areas will Spurs improve on? Levy, for once, will act quickly in the coming window. Rumours are that we are negotiating for Danny Ings and Kieran Trippier. We need two new strikers because Adebayor and Soldado are both surplus to requirements.
No secret that Morgan Schederlin is Poch's main target, although if he goes elsewhere Cabaye is next in line.
Kaboul, Abdebayor, Lennon, Capoue, Walker, Chirches, Holtby and Stambouli will ALL go.
Poch wants a close look at Delli Ali (MK Dons) and Alex Pritchard (Brentford) on the Far East tour before deciding if they will be in his squad next season or go out on loan to another Prem team.
There are quite a few Academy lads who are on the verge of breaking through like Kane, Mason and Bentaleb have too.
