I don't think it is any secret that he is more or less Mark Hughes #1 fan. I am sure it has more to do with their shared Welsh-ness than any particular love of Stoke City but there it is.
Anyway first call up from a Liverpool fan and Savage is bigging up Hughes straight away saying he is ready for another big job.
Here is the rub, he was saying he thought West Ham should be that job.
Now I suppose anyone with an ounce of objectivity would have to accept that West ham are a slightly bigger club than Stoke. They have a few more fans and they have actually won some stuff albeit a while ago.
But it just didn't seem enough of an upgrade to me. A bit like moving from a 3 bed semi to another 3 bed semi but this time with a downstairs cloakroom. Add in the porno brothers running the operation at WHU and you would have to think of the new house also having some cracks in the walls which may be subsidence on further inspection.
But here is his punch line, The new WHU would operate out of the 54,000 stadium at Olympic Park which no doubt they will fill if they get the pricing right and suddenly you have an established London based club, with a big tradition, and a stadium 10,000 bigger than say Anfield and suddenly the skies the limit.
Personally I think with Hughes very happy at the moment and living in Cheshire he would not be keen to move back to London although it is something he has done twice in the past.
Anyway, there you have it, Savage reckons he is the perfect fit for West Ham.

I think Savage is right and Hughes would do a very good job there, I don't believe he'd be even remotely interested in the job however.

He is onto a good thing here with a good chairman who doesn't post shit on Twitter every half hour and a little brat of a son who will slate him on there also. He is good for stoke and stoke is good for him, marriage made in heaven. Longer he stays the better.

Just signed a new deal, he's at a proud club with excellent foundations and one of the most supportive chairmen in the world.
West Ham will go for someone with a fancy foreign name and Hughes will take us to the top 8 next season

Savage was the one who thought Stoke fans were mad to want rid of Pulis (a Welshman), and only decided we'd done the right thing once we'd appointed Hughes (a Welshman). Every bit as predictable and see through as Hartson.

He's just spent two years putting a team together, he has a great relationship with the board and the fans, and has just a signed a three year deal. Why in gods name would he move to a club below us in the table. The board there would just throw money around and it would be QPR all over again. If Savage was really his no1 fan then he would keep his mouth shut and let him continue with the success he's having here instead of shit stirring.

I'd be surprised if they wanted him. They need a fancy sounding foreign manager to try and win enough fans to buy tickets for Olympic stadium.
Rafa Benitez on a ludicrous contract having a season from hell would be where my money would be on.

And hasn't he just come out and said he massively regretted leaving Fulham where he was in a very similar situation to now. Savage should keep his trap shut and stop re-enforcing the thick blonde stereotype. He truly is a dim twat (even though he seems to like us)

Savage needs to shut up it's got nothing to do with him. Let's not forget we've done a lot better than West Ham since we've been in the PL. Oh I forgot he works for the media and they are the media darlings.
Given the choice Coates or Sullivan who would you rather work for.

Mark Hughes is an intelligent and shrewd man who knows that that he is currently working for one of the best,if not the best, owners in the Premier League. From the moment we parted ways with TP,the Coates family only really had one man in mind for the vacancy and that was Hughes, that carries a lot of weight imho, and i think MH appreciates the opportunity and support he's been given at Stoke to rehabilitate his reputation when it would have been easy to dismiss him as 'damaged goods' after his experience at QPR.Thankfully he's currently repaying that faith in spades and whilst he undoubtedly has the ambition and talent to do a bigger manager's job it'll hopefully arrive in a few years time after securing some silverware in a cup competition with us.

With West Ham, you've got factor in the cheap dildo's, cock rings and butt plugs.
It's a thinker, alright.

On the subject of the spammers...see Slaven Bilic is favourite to take over the coaches job after Sam's departure. Very strange appointment if they do as he's won fuck all at any club he's managed so far. A my prediction therefore is that spammers will be struggling by Christmas and Sam will return to just fail to stop relegation in readiness for their move to the Olympic Stadium which they will struggle to half fill in the championship.

West Ham is a road crash waiting to happen and not really a bigger club IMHO - there is zero chance of Hughes having his head turned, especIally in view of the QPR debacle that tarnished an otherwise solid record as a manager........these so called pundits just say stuff to get fans contributing to their programmes or websites.....nothing more.....

Get Stoke into or around 6th place, qualify for Europe and win a cup at Stoke and then much bigger clubs, more stable clubs (than West Sham) will come knocking for LMH.
Jump before he has achieves anything then his future and reputation would be on the line (another QPR),
He is at a club on the up, with the best Chairman he has ever worked for and the with foundations in place to go further and putting that at risk joining a club like West Sham would be lunacy IMO.

Although Sparky wont go and I agree that West Ham are not a big club at the moment, it is inevitable in my opinion that this notion will change with this olympic stadium move. This will ultimately propel them into the next group of teams due to the locality for bankers and the fact players will want to play in a big shiny new stadium in London.

Considering Hughes' worst spells have been at places where the owners are cocks and ridiculous money is being thrown around on old/average players, I think he won't see West Ham as very enticing.

My first thoughts were ...I wonder if mark would be interested in Westham if they came knocking.
i think, if he's given the backing, he will want to have a go at getting us into Europa first before moving on
