I'm sick of hearing about him. He'll be back on loan in January.

I have no respect for the diving hypocrite! H Well done for picking out one incident in 709 games. Thats just looking for an incident to fit with the story you want to present. There isn't a player who has not dived at some point in their career. He's never a been a serial diver or cheat. For every one of his dives you find 20 of Mark Hughes diving, but hey lets be selective.

Thing is with Gerrard he got over 100 caps well done BUT if he;d been Italian Spanish French Brazilian Argentinian he wouldn't have got more than 25. They would have realised he's as thick as shit and while talented plays with indiscipline which damages the team. At times he intimidated his colleagues because he was all over the place everywhere insisting on doing it all himself. It wasn't commitment, in fact at times it was brainless. Same as Lampard. If they had gone to play abroad at the age of about 22 they would have been much better more complete players.
But if I was there on Sunday I would give Stevie a polite golf clap off the pitch! . Mind you he'll be there on loan in January, don't forget that.

Well I know the result helped but fantastic reaction from the Stoke fans for Gerrard's goal and reflected huge credit on our club which the media have already picked up on. Anything that get's Stoke City talked about in a positive way is great for the club. Today, Stoke City are RIGHTLY being talked about for a fantastic performance and more. Credit to all.

Each to his own mate but the 'siege mentality' days are over and we are now a very impressive football club who beat teams because we are good enough to match them. I think we are better off as a club if people respect us and we no longer need to stick two fingers up to the rest, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Cracking result today and Stoke fans were a credit to our club. Glad we didn't make fools of ourselves by being the soft arse licking pussys that some want us to be .

See this is exactly what I talked about before the match. NO-ONE asked our fans to act like "arse licking pussys" nor WOULD they. The mass of crowd acted like the sporting decent football fans that they are and, in doing so, reflected great credit on our club. I hoped your view would be ignored by the majority, and thank God it was.

The result definatly helps but that was one of best atmospheres we've had in years today. One word to sum up the fans who applauded Gerard's goal is simply class! The team, the crowd, everyone involved today was a class act

Look back over the thread and you'll see that I made a strong point about not wanting him to be 'bigged up' but politely applauded. You're confusing me with someone else. You, on the other hand suggested he get no applause and Stoke fans saved it for their own team. The two are not mutually exclusive and I'm glad the majority did the right thing (IMO).
