The fixer helped him out in 2001 against the pyscho, way before the Chelsea connection gangsters, which is all rumours and hearsay, The article suggests the two things are linked though doesn't it? That you don't get a favour for free in the classic Bonasera tradition. It's widely accepted that the Chelsea story is true isn't it? It's pretty strong stuff in that piece and he hasn't sued over it, which if it was untrue you'd think he'd be daft not to do?

I'm not convinced the BBC commentator has called this one correctly, based on what I'm reading on here... "Famed for their noisy rendition of "Delilah", I expect the Britannia faithful to wrap their tonsils around "You'll Never Walk Alone" because if last Saturday was all about Anfield waving a tearful goodbye to their Stevie G, this weekend sees English football say their farewell to a true legend and I'm truly honoured to be a small part of the occasion." www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32770765

Well, I haven't heard a truly NOISY ( or even co-ordinated ) "Delilah" since the first Prem season ( at home, that is ) so that's not accurate
As for all the potential Gerrard songs, they may amuse some to sing but he really isn't going to be either bothered or affected is he, so what is the point ?

Well he seemed jolly well affected a few weeks back at Chelsea if his bitter post match interview was anything to go by, he may be a bit of a hero on merseyside but hes no where near in the Beckham, Scholes or Lampard bracket for me, in fact other than achievements for country you can throw Giggs in there too. my view, he has remained loyal to his home town club and played well for them in an average side that cost billions, he has plyed OKish for England and now he is securing his familys future by playing the money game in the US.......basically a loyal has been that could have achieved far more in a better side

We've got some classless followers.
Happy enough to embarrass the club once again.
I'm sure PC and the clubs PR will be delighted at the prospect of this.

Anything other than applause will make us look small time & inbred, irrespective of what we privately feel. The Global Press will be gathering at The Brit on Sunday and it does our Club absolutely no favours by slagging off Gérrard.
Think about it.
