So then swapping a world class goalie and an experienced back up with a bloke who can't get in a Danish league side starting XI and a bloke that couldn't get back in the Wrexham starting XI last season is ok then? Ok. When did the window shut? It hasn't we're just discussing the permutations which was abundantly clear (use of the word "if").

Ok. Yes if an experienced GK is coming in as well So the answer is no then. Because that isn't part of that scenario! Who we talking? If it's someone like Richard Wright then again I think it's very risky, Schwarzer I just about cope, Given would be nice. But I'm still not sold on Butland as #1 nevermind some unknown Danish bloke and Dan Bachmann!

Hasn't he been no.1 with the Danish champions? Okay, it might not be a brilliant standard, but the Danish teams still manage an okay showing in European competitions and he has had regular football, unlike some reserve keeper from another English club. I see it clearly as Butland number 1, with Haugaard no.2, Bachmann no.3. Unless Bego actually stays....... .

Sorro will be 39 at the start of next season. With all this possible uncertainty about a back up keeper why don't we offer him a one year contract? Wouldn't this be the easiest way? Tommy is as good as Givern, Robinson, Schwarzer who have all been mentioned in this thread.

He signed Gunnar Nielsen twice actually, once for Man City. I'd never heard of Gunnar Nielsen until 5 minutes ago!

We've got a top keeper coach in Andy Quy haven't we?
Pretty sure he would have had an input into signing Haugaard?
