When will the daft fuckers on here ever learn Bojan won't fit our system, Butland isn't ready, etc etc And again we have them slaughtering a bloke before he's put pen to paper He didn't to start with in the position Hughes ear marked him for (or why start him there). Butland isn't 100% ready yet. And no one's slaughtering him, don't be so dramatic! I could reel many off on here Bayern The amount of players who are written off before they've signed or after a couple of games is embarrassing and cringeworthy

Does anyone really write them off? I know I think everyone is shit but I onner writing the poor buggers, I'm just saying what I think of them. People will have pre-judgements and this is the place to air them.

He's absolutely garbage according to Twitter. Not writing him off by any means but some of the comments don't fill me with excitement. Twitter? - that's about as reliable as any of the election polls!

Danish website bold.dk brought an interview with Haugaard last night:
Jakob Haugaard is keeping all doors open Jakob Haugaard has been benched at FC Midtjylland, where he ponders his future. Everythiing is up in the air for the 23 year old keeper, who will not close any doors right now. Jakob Haugaard was first choice between the sticks at FC Midtjylland in the autumn. But in January the club brought in Klubben Johan Dahlin, who has since been first choice. Haugaard is not satisfied, so now he ponders what must happen this summer.
- It is not satisfying. I’ve been thinking about it this spring, but hasn’t really come to a conclusion yet. It is a proces, that I have with the club and my agent about what will happen, says Haugaard to bold.dk.
What’s at play for you?
- Everything. There is no option that is favourite ahead of something else.
Is Johan Dahlin a better keeper that you?
It is a good question. I can’t say whether he is better than me. It is up to the coach to evaluate, and at the moment Johan is playing. That’s what I relate to. No matter if I’m playing or not, it’s always about developing as well as possible, and I try to do that every day at training. Nothing’s changed there.
Apparently Stoke is interested in you?. Is it interesting to be second or third choice in for example Stoke?
- There are not any doors, which are closed. And then I’ll make a decission together with those people, who helps me with that. So I must find out what is best for me. It’s about finding the place, where I can see myself in a project. It must be interesting, it is the most important thing for me.
Have you heard something specific from Stoke or other clubs?
- It is my agent, who handles it, so I can not say much about it, says Jakob Haugaard.
The 23 year old keeper in under contract at FC Midtjylland to the end of 2015.

Bojan was written off by no marks on Twitter too. Some daft fuckers went with them. To be fair bojan was shit in his first half a dozen games. I don't think anyone really saw that turnaround coming off the back of some woeful performances. Was liam lawrence written off also for being fat and slow, then he became one our most important players.

If this lad is meant as number 3 keeper It isn't half a coincidence that the news of him possibly signing come just before John Percy & the begovic thread come about

After backing Shea and Teixeira, I feel like I should give this one the best chance of succeeding at Stoke by hating his face.

Just imagine if we had this messageboard when we signed Mark Stein, a striker and Oxford United reject who had scored only 18 goals in 92 matches for them. He ended up scoring 72 goals in 134 matches for us...

Was liam lawrence written off also for being fat and slow, then he became one our most important players. Well he wasn't exactly shit, a bit ineffective with glimpses of ability. Probably due to not being used properly, which MH fixed. Players need time, some will work, some won't. What is pointless is writing off players you have never heard of before they have actually even signed...

He ended up scoring 72 goals in 134 matches for us... and we have had dozens of shit ones since, who were shit before we bought them, shit whe they playedfor us and shit when they left The problem is: We don't know how it's going to turn out. Remember Paul Randall? He was THE hot prospect and was scoring goals for fun (36 in 61 matches) at Bristol Roves. We bought him and he scored only 8 in 51 matches for us. We sold him back to Bristol Rovers and he suddenly started scoring again (71 in 216 matches). We can take a chance on a 'shit' player and he might turn out to be a diamond like The Golden One, or we can splash the cash on a proven goalscorer who turns out to be a total dud. Lesson learned is that writing off a player before he has had time to prove himself over time is stupid. Likewise is the assumption that we're going to win the FA Cup in a week just because we have bought a proven goalscorer from team x also wrong. I trust the management team and then we'll see how this ends later.

Your reference, Mark Stein, signed for Stoke about 25 years ago and cheap gambles fail more often than they succeed. We've had some dogs home successes, and Mark Stein probably falls into that category, but I can think of very few left field wild cards that have paid off. We're still getting to know Mark Hughes and I wonder if he has a fetish for cheap players off the radar, like Haugaard and Teixiera, trying to unearth another 'Chris Samba'. It seems to have gone a little cold on Haugaard, but if he does sign of course I'll back Hughes and will him to succeed. If I were a betting man though I'd say that his chances of ever making a Premier League start were slim, history tells us this. Definitely worth a punt though, and following the progress of these complete unknowns is good sport.

He was back in the starting line up for FC midtjylland yesterday due to an injury to their first choice keeper. He did OK - one good save, but also a couple of dodgy moments as well.
After the match he was asked about the rumours of him going to Stoke, and he replied "It great fun to read about, but I really can't say anything about it"

Sounds like this Danish journo rates him about as highly as Claus... Jakob Haugaard to Stoke? It must be a joke. #rimsmed "It must be a joke"Unless... he's referring to the Danish comedian of the same name? (very curious signing though) Jacob Haugaard From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jacob Haugaard Daniel Jacob Haugaard[2] (born 12 May 1952 in Tvøroyri, Faroe Islands) is a Danish-Faroese comedian, actor, musician, composer, writer, TV host and politician.[3] If the GK is as bad as some suggest, the comedian might be a safer pair of hands
