We're extending the trophy room. I wonder if we will "kick on" and go for the Oscars.

Probably another lick of paint as it gets dirty rather quickly.

Probably because of (although I don't see how it effects the stadium itself) that planned statue by the roundabout?
I noticed they have put extra fencing up there too.

Wasn't there a mention on here of the pitch being relayed this summer? Probably H&S means they'll have to shut up shop for that.
They'll probably be adding some new sponsorship hoardings too.
I prefer the thought of a corner fill in. {But I'd prefer us to wait for the closure of the Hillsboro Inquest and then join the rank of Clubs who'll be trialing Rail sitting/Standing.}

Filling in the corner shows intent, shows ambition. Therefore it's not happening.

Fuck it then, lets build a load more seats, before it should be considered seriously they need to do some research into how many don't go because they can't sit next to someone they know for an hour and a half etc. Edit: Also how does a few more seats show ambition??

I don't know how that was as a mate of mine got two seats together in the q railings, bought on the morning of the Spurs game over the phone?

I don't know how that was as a mate of mine got two seats together in the q railings, bought on the morning of the Spurs game over the phone? Not sure? Mate of mine who lives in Northampton realised on Monday he was going to be up in Stoke, I went online on Monday and rang on Tuesday to try and get 5 tickets for him and 2 for my wife and youngest. I spent 10 minutes on the phone going through the seating plan with a young lad from the ticket office, there was literally hundreds of individual seats dotted around and the only 2 seats together were 2 "restricted view" seats (the white barrier blocks your view) in the main stand upper tier. I ended up buying one random ticket for my lad in the Seddon and he squeezed in between the rest of us, the other 6 I didn't (as boskamp above often suggests fans should be happy to sit on their own for 90 minutes, but when you have kids as tempting as it is dumping them in a completely different stand to the one your sitting in isn't really an option) I know a lot of people who would snap up a 3, 6, 9 match ticket if they could choose their games in advance, it would appeal to exiles, students, shift workers, self employed people etc. If the club can't market and sell a couple of thousand extra seats to allow potentially the next generation of Stoke fans to see more games it's poor form...

I don't think they need to make the new corner a season ticket area for the first season. I'd be tempted to make it pay by the game for the first season and then come up with a new seating plan for the following season. They have already said they might wish to move the family area sideways so that part of it would occupy some or all of the new corner - that would take a bit of time to organise and consult with fans.
Having it as pay by the game would mean it wouldn't matter if it isn't finished by the start of next season.

Maybe they have over ordered building materials for the bet365 offices they are building and will drop them off for the builders doing that to drop on the stadium while they're at it.

Got to say agree 100% people who don`t must be season ticket holders so don`t really see a problem .

It's probably been done to death but hey-ho i"m sure it will be again (not just in this thread) but does anyone know exactly how long it would take to stick one corner in and make it habitable? Are we talking a couple of months or 3/4 of a year?

If work commenced at the end of the season I think it's unlikely that it would be ready by August, more likely to be ready in time for half-season ticket sales around Christmas at best I would think.

How doesn't it? Because its just a few extra seats, investment in the team shows ambition, improving youth facilities shows ambition (as Stoke have done), a few plastic seats shows nothing.
