Maybe if Labour can get Dan Jarvis as their man, he could appeal to white van/mondeo man

Daniel Owen Woolgar Jarvis MBE A Kings College and Sandhurst man. Not convinced he quite ticks the "man of the people" box, don't they need an unreconstructed man of the North or Midlands? A sort of Mick McCarthy/ Sam Allardyce of the political world

Each to their own. I feel like Stoke just beat Arsenal to maintain their premier league status for another term.

This is what I thought from a couple of days ago and in the face of all the poles saying the contrary ..... Okay ....I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that Cameron will get 25 more than Milliband. Cleggs party will suffer a 80% decrease in support . SNP will win all but three Scottish seats . UKIP will win 3 seats Plaid Cymru will do very well in the valleys with a 20 % increase in support. Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/243611/election-prediction?page=3#ixzz3ZYByahb2Pretty damned accurate .....I was spot on with the SNP figures...!

As a foot note...FTSE up by 2%....I bet had Milliband and Wee Jimmy Krankie got in it would have plummeted.

They adore me here, because I spend my tax free earnings ( huge by the way ) here. But you are probably too upset to realise that Ex pats get a vote. Oh well. See you in 5 years...

Labour having any influence over the country would have been a disaster. I'm no Tory but them winning was the least worst outcome

He thinks because the Eton massive have been re-elected we may have some political power at the Top table. The only thing that gives you any clout at the top table is the size / capability of your Military and in case you have had your head up your arse for the past 10 years we haven't got one! We haven't got any clout at he EU table let alone the world table.

Because over a 5 year term they can easily come back. For the present they don't contribute, and neither do those who choose to stay on benefits. Personally i don't think either should get a vote. You don't put in, you don't get a say on what gets put out.

Why do we belong at the top table of world politics? Because we are one of the biggest economies in the world....Next question... We are amply represented at global level in the biggest economic organisations - both the IMF and World Bank measure each member's voting power by their GDP. Next reason.

Two issues brits. First your comment on people on benefits not getting a vote, I take it you mean the UNEMPLOYED because if you mean benefits in general then that would account for millions of people, if you do mean the unemployed then quite frankly you need to hang your head in shame.
Secondly I fully understand the difference between debt and deficit, Osborne has done what I said, if you think he hasn't then post back the statistics.

Those who CHOOSE to be on long term (ie stay on) benefits. If you understand it, why do you keep going on about one of the main positives of the Coalition's reign as if its such a negative? The deficit is reducing massively. Until it becomes a surplus of course the total debt will rise, and it would be impossible to do otherwise with the size of the deficit Osborne inherited.
