Interesting when it says the ground is valued around £33m. One of the corners at old trafford cost more than that i bet. The new bet365 offices are £25m.

And regularly on this message board there are threads encouraging people to waste their money by betting it away.
No wonder Uncle Peter is rich beyond his wildest dreams.
The only people who get rich from betting are the bookies.
(And long may it continue) winky thingy

I don't for one minute think that any of us on this board would like our own personal financial status be bandied around for discussion by all and sundry. While I think gambling is the ruination of many families, the Coates family exercise their given right to utilise this as a very successful business and some of the profits of which have undoubtedly aided the football club I love. Therefore I thank the Coates family sincerely for their involvement and wish them every success for their businesses. You have a point. I was always brought up to believe it was vulgar to talk about money but if I owned the thick end of £2.3 bn, then frankly shits wouldn't be be given round ours.

Their path up the rich list is amazing. Every year they zoom up further. How have they managed to double up this year? That's crazy. Coates family 2015 - £2300m (44th) 2014 - £1200m (78th) 2013 - £925m (93rd) 2012 - £800m (92nd) 2011 - £750m (90th) 2010 - £500m (132nd) 2009 - £400m (128th) 2008 - £300m (270th) 2007 - £200m (351st) 2006 - £126m (442nd) Cos you never see a broke bookmaker.

And to be perfectly honest, bet365 is an absolute joke, trying to put bets on sometimes is impossible, i tried all day on saturday albeit in Krakow, it is an international company for Christ's sake, i only stick with them because of the Stoke connection, but enough is enough!

I've started betting online and the bet365 app is by far the biggest pain in the arse going. I gave up in the end.

How does this compare to abramovich, sheik mansour etc? Funnily enough, they were on about Mansour on Radio Five this morning. He's worth £20 Billion. And the rest. Thats his personal wealth. The family is into the many hundreds of billions. In short, Coates and family have to run the club like a business. The oil clubs could buy the entire league with pocket change.
