Could well be this, but I'd rather take Salah in the deal, Chelsea looking to sell him. If they want Bego as badly as reported, we actually hold the upper hand for once in a transfer dealing. No chance with Salah. Went on loan to Fiorentina and ripped apart Serie A. Chelsea reportedly looking for £12m, Fiorentina want to buy him but can't afford, Bego has to be around £12-15m realistically. Do a straight swap, pretty sure we could offer him a good wage package and first team football. Could really help us push for europe. I think we could pull it off.

Would be foolish to go to Chelsea (from a footballing point of view) as his game time would be very limited, as he's not as good as Courtois. However, if he wants to do it for money and security etc, then so be it. We all have a price. We have a good replacement with Butland, who with game time can only improve, so I don't think we'll be too adversely impacted by his departure, and could actually become stronger if the money received allows us to strengthen significantly elsewhere.

Realistically Bego isn't even double figures these days, I think Salah is out of reach unfortunately.

Begovic is a fantastic goalkeeper whose had a poor season.
I don't know why but I've never warmed to him given how good he's been. Maybe it was the Shrewsbury incident, I don't know.
If he goes, good luck to him. If he stays, good luck to us.
So long as he doesn't go to Arsenal he will always get a decent reception on his return but I'm not sure he will be viewed in the same affectionate way that some of his colleagues would be.

If he went abroad, and the fee was right, he'd go with my best wishes. If he goes to Chelsea, to play Carling Cup games, well, it will tell you all that you need to know about him. I'm not so sure about the second sentence there Mr. Weeds. Any club having a serious go at CL, FA and League Cups will need two strong keepers and there's every chance Bego will also be thinking he can supplant Courtois. We all know how good a keeper Bego is mate and he deserves a crack at the very highest level. Either way, if he goes, he goes with my blessing and full support. As a club we have to focus on and nurture Butland into the keeper that everyone hopes he can become. We cant keep a talent like Jack on the back burner for much longer, it's not fair on the lad.

It depends if he wants to take the money and play second fiddle like Carlo cuddicini did for the past 10 years , I doubt it

Why do Chelsea want Bego? Courtois is class? To sit on the bench, just in case needed. I hope Bego doesn't go for that it would be a tragic waste of talent.

I still think Bego will be our number 1 next season. I think it depends on whether he can agree a new contract in the coming weeks. If we cant make any progress on that front, he will be allowed to leave, sparking a scramble for him that could go right to the end of the window. The only thing I worry about is IF he cant agree a new deal, would we still be playing him in the opening games, knowing that he could go at any time. If his future isn't sorted by the final couple of friendlies, we should really be looking to Jack to start the opening games, regardless if Bego is here or not.

He'd be stupid to go and be 2nd choice. He can go to bigger clubs and be first choice but that would probably mean a move abroad.

I can't see Bego going anywhere to be number 2.

No one is actually breaking their necks to sign him are they? I reckon he will end up staying. The goalkeeper merry go round hasn't started yet - it seems everyone is waiting for De Gea, then Lloris to move and then we may see offers for Bego from in the Prem, or hopefully from foreign clubs. As has been said by others I hope we do sell him this summer to avoid him going for free next summer, and also to let Jack start as No 1 next season.
