On to the next one!
I'd go with...
Bego
Cameron Shawcross Muni Pieters
Whelan Fonz
Arnie Ireland Moses
Diouf
MH on Asmir Begovic's contract situation...
There is no real situation. We have made it clear that we want him to sign and we will sit and discuss it in the summer. That has always been the plan. Hopefully we will be able to resolve it in a manner that suits all parties. We will have to look at the situation on its merits. We don't want him to go. People may have looked into the fact that we re-contracted Jack Butland and made the assumption that Asmir will leave. We don't want that to be the case. Asmir is right to concentrate on his football for the time being.
MH on his transfer plans...
It is fair to say that we have done ok in the market. We are the lowest spenders in the market during my time here. We have managed to do a few really good deals and managed to bring good quality players here. At some point we will have to reinvest significantly because players will leave and others will need replacing. If we want to continue to get better and be a consistently good side, which equates to a top ten finish each year, then we will have to add more quality. I understand that and so do the Coates family. We have been close to a number of big targets but have never managed to take the deal over the line. The owners have always been positive in that manner, but we just haven't been able to close a deal out yet. I'm comfortable that if we were able to take a top quality player for a large sum of money, then we would be able to do that.
MH on his future ambitions...
People talk about a glass ceiling, but there is still headroom for us. We want to get into the top ten again this year, and then look to build upon that moving forward. There are other teams with the same aspirations as us. Along the way we may reach a position where people think we have reached our highest level. We aren't there yet though.
MH on injuries...
We aren't too bad at the moment. Most of the niggles are resolving themselves. We think Marc Wilson has broken his hand but he should be ok, Jon Walters has a slight problem with his knee but he is managing that pretty well. Peter Odemwingie has had a good week and played a little bit of football. Hopefully we can introduce him back into the senior squad at the end of next week or the week after that.

Diouf has to play, out of the front 4 after today it's Walters who should be close to a dropping, he was dreadful. Bego
Bardsley Shawcross Muni Pieters
Whelan Fonz
Walters Ireland Moses
Diouf Though for me, we're a Bojan away from having our best side again.

Diouf Though for me, we're a Bojan away from having our best side again. Agree with most of that. Would drop Walters though as he looks knackered and has offered very little last few games Need to attack them with pace - so would put Arnie in from the beginning, even though he remains frustrating as hell this season

He roasted Cresswell at the Brit earlier in the season. He could do it again. He is knackered fella - when the lad has a wee rest he looks a different player. However playing him week in, week out, plus a fractured cheekbone and internationals is doing him no favours. Bring him on as a sub, sure, but like previous seasons, he is playing too much and has been ineffective the last 3 games

Butland Cameron Shawcross Wolly Wilson Whelan Nzonz Arnie Ireland Moses Diouf - I've advocated giving Butland a start elsewhere. - Cameron had a good game. - We're away so we won't be playing a high line. Wolly combats West Ham's aerial potency and strength. - Downing will be on the right. So the right-footedness of Wilson will better negate his cutting inside, despite EP being a better player in most cases. - Walters looks tired. Don't need his defensive quality - it's only West Ham! Arnie is a match-winner (we can but hope). - Ireland can pull around their leaky defence. - Diouf is a much better outlet in a game in which we're likely to be reactive than proactive in.

A win next week with two home games to follow and 8th place would look very doable A defeat and probably 10th at best A good performance and I think we'll do it

They've dropped off the last few games like ourselves. Would love a win there but a point would be good too. If we lose then that's 4 on the spin

A draw would be very good result away from home against a similar standard team.

Think 9th is the best we can hope for now so a win or at least a draw is imperative.

I aren't normally pessemistic, but we have some tricky games in our run in. We may struggle to beat the 50 point mark. Obviously hope I am wrong.

Play-off for 9th awaits but a win at a canter for you lot me thinks.
Been on the beach since December and 11 points since the turn of the year says it all.

We showed earlier in the season that we are a better team than West Ham, and if it wasn't for a shocking decision by Chris Foy, we would have won that game. If we defend solidly, I see an away win on the cards.

it will be last on MOTD, that's a certainty
Could be any result, I'd aim for a clean sheet victory, 1-0 Potters with Diouf scoring

Apart from Bojan, Hughes needs to go with our strongest team (in my opinion of course):
Begovic
Bardsley Shawcross Muniesa Pieters
N'Zonzi Whelan
Walters Ireland Moses
Diouf

Certainly an absolute shitter of a result for us if Palace do close out the Man City game.
Either way I don't think you can ever call a game against a team on identical points as us at this at this stage of the season and most importantly of all away from home 'must-win', not unless disappointment is your stock in trade anyway!
