True. Didn't help adam shooting from anywhere and not starting diouf. I don't think Doiuf not starting was a big problem, Adam on the other hand shouldn't have been on the pitch. i agree and yes, as others have said it's hard to drop him after what he did last week but as a manager you can't base your selection on complete one-off's like that as he's not likely to be repeating it on a regular basis is he!? i've been utterly bemused as to why Hughes seems to prefer Adam over Ireland in general since Bojan got injured. if you want someone with an attacking mindset who'll get up and support the forward play and has the ability to spot a quick opportunity and execute a good through ball then it's a no brainer for me...always has to be Ireland.

Mick, Neither Ireland or Adam would be in the side if Bojan was fit. Neither of them are consistent, Adam consistently follows a good game with three bad ones, while Ireland exerts little influence on a game unless Stoke are ahead. Neither can tackle, Adam is probably more of a goal threat, but if we have the cash, I'd get rid of both and try to get a midfielder who can move with a bit of pace, and pass the ball forward. It may mean looking abroad, or looking in the top half of the Championship, as a fit Johan will normally fill the role.

We really need to start hitting the taking and stop putting useless crosses into the box. Team next week assuming Moses is out should be Butland (give him a go) Cameron Shawcross Wollschied Pieters Nzonzi Whelan Walters Ireland Arnie Diouf Walters is pretty useless on the right but we have no other options. Odemwingie hurry back!

Fair enough Mick, someone has to play there, and I am just constantly annoyed by Ireland's inability to grab hold of a game.In many ways he reminds me of a midfield Kenwyne Jones- we know the talent and ability is there, but for whatever reason, we don't see it as often as we should.

To be fair to the ref when our subs were going off as slow as they could, dawdling and timewasting the ref warned them he would be adding it on, would of probably only been 3 or 4 mins if they hadn't bimbled off as slow as they could from the other side of the pitch
Most on there board were pretty scathing of Alardyce and one who was questioning the amount of added time was shot down. Most of them thought they were lucky get a point. The one above certainly got the the reason for a lot of the stoppage time right, though I'm sure Mr East added a bit more on for the ball boy throwing the ball away.
Today probably showed just how much we miss Bojans creativity and goal scoring ability. With 65% possession we really do need to make more opportunities.

Not as miserable as you when arnie gets our equaliser. (Fuckoffsmileyface) You're really stupid and uneducated. I was was the first to say that Arnie scored a wonderful goal today. One he richly deserved for a very good display. How can you even think that I'd be sad coz Arnie scored ?! Only a troglodyte like you could think something like that. If only Arnie could deliver more of these gems there wouldn't be a happier man than me I prefer my intellect to be questioned by somebody with the slightest grasp of the English language so...

Epic fail There's an even more epic fail later when someone says he's offside because he was in front of the last defender even though he was behind the ball because, the ball went forward. I despair sometimes I really do

First off – you were unlucky to draw – you should have won!! No point making excuses for us – we were appalling and defending a lead for 93m whilst having most of our best eleven available says a lot about Sam’s recent tactics and why it’s reached a tipping point with the support. Having said that, you dominated procession without really creating much until the end and IMO we played like a team that coudldn’t be bothered. Your lot at least turned up and no-one WH would have complained if you’d won. FWIW – I think Sam’s been toast since the turn of the year and we’re contractually playing it out. I just hope who-ever is next knows what he’s taking on.

Don't care what anyone says, for one who only sees the lads live two or three times a year and this was my first away game in 40 years I really enjoyed it. It was fanatstic and we should have buried them because we were great and they were awful.

We were by far the better team this afternoon and one point was the least we deserved! Credit to the lads for coming back after that early set back! We really deserve to be in the top half now from what I've seen! Go on STOKE!!!!!!

3rd time lucky. Up yours ball boy. What did the ball boy do? Commentators said something about him being yellow carded. I didn't even know they could do that. Threw the ball away when Walters wanted it. Typical teenager to be honest, acts like an idiot then is shocked when he gets a right hook off somebody eventually.
