Rooney always hits it straight at the keeper. went for the nutmeg. Failed. Buffon is Ace though side to side.

Townsend runs down more than his fair share of blind alleys - but he has got some shot on him.
Haven't quite worked out what Ryan Mason's for yet though?
You've only got to get within a couple of miles of White Hart Lane to get on Woy's wadar

Great goal by Townsend. We've actually perked up a up top since we brought stroller Carrick on. But we're still absolute garbage at the back. We can't even deal with regulation corners. It's like Fred Karno's back there no matter who's in.

Making a tactical switch that comes good is hardly getting out of jail. Well done Hodgson - there's life in the old dog yet.

If only we could find 4 quality defenders because imo we'd have a very decent team

I made my observation based on the utter dross we were served up prior to the goal. We made other changes before that and nothing changed. Tactically or not it seemed more luck than judgement, and we still look like conceding.

England's real problem is in the center of midfield and at the back, look at the difference since carrick's introduction. The forward and wing play is there.

Sadly the midfield cupboard is bare - which kind of explains the crazily quick ascent of Mason and the Delph phenomenon.
Who else is there who gets regular Prem games?
Cattermole? Colback? Noble? Gardner? Cleverley? Huddlestone? Livermore?
Even Sidwell must have been on the long-list....which says it all.
There's probably only Ward-Prowse and Shelvey knocking on the door. Depressing.

Carrick has suddenly become completely indispensable whatever system we play. He's a real grafter and has done well at the back in for Smalling. I like him and he should be in the squad deservedly unlike so many other daft selections like Ryan Mason by Woy.

Tactically or not it seemed more luck than judgement, and we still look like conceding. We've deserved a draw - it's pretty even on the amount of chances both teams have had. Were England unlucky to concede, or was that Hodgson's fault? Is it only luck when England score?

Cattermole Colback Noble Huddlestone Carrick, and Henderson. We need some graft in there behind barkley, rooney and kane. Either of those would do.
