The teams are in....
England XI: Hart, Clyne, Smalling, Jagielka, Gibbs, Jones, Delph, Henderson, Walcott, Rooney, Kane
Italy XI: Buffon, Ranocchia, Bonucci, Chiellini, Darmian, Parolo, Florenzi, Valdifiori, Soriano, Pelle, Eder
Looks like we are lining up as a 4-3-3 with Jones being pushed into midfield. There are 10 changes to the Italy side which beat us at the World Cup and only 17 international goals in their entire starting eleven tonight.
2-1 England for me tonight with Harry Kane getting the opener. Should be a good test to see how far we've progressed in the nine months since the World Cup.
Come on England!

I've heard of 3 of the Italian side, am I the only one?
The England side is hodge podge too (see what I did there).
Should be a 4-4-2 diamond from the look of it, which will be interesting!

I hoped Butland might get a start. I don't see any need to start Hart and plenty of reasons to start Butland.

Hart and Green have has plenty of experience, a kick in the balls for Jack! Hodgson is a prized prick!! Cue Geoff321 to explain the selection..........

Come on Kane, hope he gets a hat-trick. Should have started vs lithuania and hope he does himself proud tonight.

Butland needs game time and he has missed U21 matches to sit on the senior bench for England.

Carrick, Lampard both very good... That Italy team was far stronger then what we're up against today though!

It is worse than that. Butland needs game time and he has missed U21 matches to sit on the senior bench for England. That's the most frustrating thing about it, he could've quite easily just called Green up and allowed Jack to get some game time with the Under 21's, he only had two keepers in the squad originally until Forster got injured. Maybe Hodgson will do the decent thing and give Jack half a game tonight, can't see it though.

It is a pity that Kane makes his first England start with less creativity in the midfield than there has been for a year or so. Hopefully, they'll prove us all wrong, and Kane will strike up an instinctive partnership with Walcott and get onto the end of some great balls from Rooney.

I would rather players earn their caps rather than just being given them.

Darmian for Italy is a player I like... Bugger knows who most of the others are.

40 seconds in and Townsend is already spouting bollocks.
Some things never change, Clive.

I really don't get why Walcott is upfront.
Why didn't he call up Charlie Austin instead, who y'know, actually IS a striker?

Passing has been awful so far.
Worst Italian side I think I've ever seen too, sad in a way.
