Still think I'm definitely coming - but the missus is trying to make it into a family holiday (she said 'night zoo' & universal bollocks" ) so I done the double bluff that I'm cancelling my holiday from work ( like fuck I am ) - cuz it's my birthday on 13th July and the way my missus and 2 daughters are responding to the trip ( and money transfers secretly done ) I think they are trying to surprise me - but fuck me I need to know (cuz I I want book matchday tickets with the Stokies etc:) = will have this sorted one way or another when the tickets go on sale ..... ( fuckin women think they are doing something nice - but we just want to get sorted !!)

Has the club released any ticket news yet. From previous years tickets are from around £20 upwards so I hope they are a similar price this year. fron the Barclays Asia website: "Ticketing and travel information for Asian and UK based fans will be announced in May. The Premier League will also then announce a series of coaching initiatives and knowledge-transfer programmes to run alongside the Barclays Asia Trophy. Tickets will be sold separately for each matchday but will include both matches taking place on that day"

Be interesting to see the category(s) and price(s) made available by the clubs for UK based fans travelling , as opposed to what's available locally via the Internet...though previous years have seen rapid sales especially for the lower cats aimed at encouraging locals and the final day ...Personally although price a factor ,given the overall spend , no point in skimping on tickets if it gets you a low rows

Never difficult to get tickets even for the biggest games. Wouldn't worry about that at all. Usually several outlets sell them right until kick off time or young ladies selling official tickets outside.
Couldn't think of many better places to watch a game. Shangri-La for me. Easy-ish trip to the ground and best night out

Good crowd going it seems , 11 I know meeting up. A fair few been before and know the area pretty well, like I said will be no trouble getting tickets. For those who have asked about staying in Kallang, wouldn't really bother. Easy enough to get around and be better off nearer town. Have only read the e mails as don't bother with PMs to be honest and sent the best hotels I think for the budget you asked about. To the person who asked about the Mandarin Oriental, yes have stayed there and nice and good location. Not far from where heading out from.

You didn't send this to me a couple of weeks ago after you, somewhat bizarrely, started insulting me on a thread then? "Unfair on gimps comparing them to a fuckwit like you to be fair" Admittedly admin quickly deleted your original insulting post very quickly and maybe banned you as well seeing as you disappeared for a while after that. I've messaged you (twice) recently offering to meet you either in Singapore or next week at the game to discuss your apparent problem with me and you 'don't bother with PMs'? Are you Bi-polar by any chance? And now you've started 'following me' :) I'm flattered. The offer still stands. I'm guessing you're SoiCowboy/JRNantwich/insertrandomaliashere?

Thanks for all the advice guys. A little more research reveals that (on expedia), the round trip (ex-Sydney) from 14/7-19/7 staying at PARK HOTEL is $1395.00 and at the PARKROYAL is $1546.00, which is not that great a difference, but staying in a brand new hotel DOES appeal Passport Application completed.....ready to lodge Has everyone registered to be advised of Ticket availability? More than one Park Royal just to let you know. One not such a great location.

Park Royal, Kitchener Rd best avoided although not a bad hotel. Just not a great area. To those who have e mailed we have sorted transport to and from the game for 16 people. If you have tried and on my block list on here, have a nice walk. Will let you know more nearer to the game re collection point. No charge

I judge people on how I find them , not by the size of their wallet . As for getting to & from the games , genuinely fair play for organising things for others. Personally never been into the holding hands , group travel thing, never seen the attraction or the need .so looks like we have different ideas / views of what makes for a good trip / travel experience.Personally I'm more than confident I'll manage , even if it means a lonely 40 minute walk in the steamy heat of a tropical downpour..Theres worse alternatives .Who knows if we meet perhaps we'll enjoy a drink or two ,thats of course if us mere none Porshe owners can afford to buy you a beer at Singapore prices , if not I'm sure neither you or me or your party will see it as any great loss ..Enjoy the trip , games and your Porsche (dirty or clean)

Ever get the feeling no one cares about your obsessive jealousy ? :P Can clean my Porsche if you need money (rofl) Hold on a fucking minute. I was quite happy enjoying your absence, until the 'biggest gimp on here remark' you made (3 days after you re-joined) at that time I had no idea who the fuck that was, I did know you weren't the 'female in Aberdeen' you were claiming to be, other than that I had no clue. I PM'd the mystery person and got yet more abuse, I didn't reply with any abuse, merely trying to ascertain your identity as you were making claims I'd done things I had (and still haven't) no recollection of whatsoever, if you check back the messages I lost interest around 6 weeks ago and it wasn't until I'd read some more of your posts that it became obvious who you were. As I've said by PM I'm more than willing to discuss the matter over a drink, I've no great axe to grind with you, but from the original abusive PMs you sent me you obviously harbour some long standing resentment towards me so we may as well sort it out. It's obvious we find each other tiresome on here, I'm more than happy for us to ignore each other until we meet, or if you've no wish to meet we can ignore each other ad infinitum as far as I'm concerned, I don't have time in my life for this crap. If it wasn't for your post regarding transport which appeared to be a dig at me, I felt I'd said my piece with my previous post and I would have left well alone unless you replied either by pm or on here. I may well clean your Porsche actually, I've just got back from a weekend in Geneva with the good lady wife, it was bloody expensive :)

I have e mailed Barclays in Singapore asking about getting tickets locally, and also e mailed Gemma at Stoke asking the same question, obviously it would be good to sit in amongst Stokies, not sure what segregation there will be, if indeed any at all, as 1 ticket covers 2 games on each day.

Going by last years games in Hong Kong there wont be segregation, there is no need for it and most stadiums aren't set up for it. Allocated seating wasn't really enforced either as people will come and go over the course of two days.

I've registered my interest by email, and hope to hear from someone soon; Passport Application is lodged and checking with the Passport Office this evening I'm advised that it's 40% processed.
Until I get it in my hot little hand, I'm not making any Bookings for Flights or Hotels, but I'm thinking it would be nice to catch up with some of the Stokies whose comments I've read over the years, as long as I'm not being too forward

Good Morning All, Not posted on here for a while so..yeh my bad!! With the Asia Trophy coming up I thought that I would take the chance to ask if anyone knows of any other stokies (apart from ely's lad) who live in Kuala Lumpur? Ive worked here now for about 9months and, other than converting a few locals, i am yet to see another Stoke shirt or hear another Stokie accent (mind you i've all but lost mine now anyway ) Anyways, if anyone is in or around Kuala Lumpur you will usually find me about on matchdays with my shirt on in my local The FrontPage SportsBar on Changkat so let me know when you're coming for a drink! As far as the Asia Trophy goes, I will be there for both matchdays 100%. Unfortunately i most likely wont be staying overnight on the wednesday as I work in Kuala Lumpur there isn't really much point in taking a holiday day when its only a 1hour flight at a cost of about a tenner!! That and in all fairness i am returning to the UK on July 4th until July 12th as I have tickets to the AC/DC concert at wembley on the 4th and a stag do on the 11th so it's all worked out quite nicely! Looking forward to it anyway, i'm not sure that it will be reserved seating but if it isnt, would be good to get us all near one place so we can get a headstart on being marked down in the fair play league for belting out the ever-intimidating Delilah. Goarn Stoke -Jay
