Could quite do that. Said from day one Stoke have the largest financial package for Kono and unless someone makes a stupid decision he will end up at Stoke or stay with Dnipro It has been stated on here that we were going to double his Dnipro wage, yet his father has said his son kono will be getting less than his previous Dnipro wage? Just dosen't make sense. His 3rd party is not interested in how much Kono will get, just how much he will make out of the deal. By pushing him towards Spain means he keeps his agreement in place, so more money in the future for him

Uttoxeter AdvertiserThe 25-year-old winger has since chosen to sign for Seville, taking a pay cut from his previous deal in Ukraine in the hope the move can be a springboard to play for Barcelona.

Top rate of personal tax in the Ukraine is 17%. In the UK you pay 45% on income over 150k, nearly all of his income in his case. Guess what I am saying is that if he doubled his wage in coming here his take home pay would increase by far less than that. Very crudely were he to be paid £1 million in the Ukraine he would draw £830K (17% tax) If that were to double to £2 million in the UK he would draw 1.1m (45% tax) so an extra £1 million of income only gets him an extra £270k of take home pay. Barely worth getting out of bed for you might say! Gods, its not 'the Ukraine'. I thought you knew better than that Doh You taught me that months ago, see what happens when you stay away from this place, standards slip

They are after N'Zonzi now, so how about a swap for Kono? The key issue being Kono is still not their player (at least officially)

I presume that Kono isn't allowed to train with Sevilla until everything is signed. I wonder if he is still training with Dnipro - because, if he isn't, he's going to have some fitness catching up to do when he eventually does sign for Sevilla or anyone else!

Does not matter when the Dnipro contract ends it's the 3rd party contract that's the problem. Every contract I know of starts on July 1st and ends last day of June, I think Seville are trying to ease panic by suggesting it's not like all other player contract

If Kolomoskyi ain't given what he wants he will refuse to sign the deal Have we finished our pursuit now then? Or if things went tits up there would he come here? I assume all the clubs face the same issue so if he doesn't complete his move there. He will stay at Dnipro?

I've never heard of a 31st July contract either but as I'm no agent, there may be such things ?
(Where's super Agent when you need him?)
And yes, the TPO will be a millstone round his neck until it ends or he buys it out.
Which does make you wonder why he didn't go with us (more cash / freedom / far better team / up Hanley Duck nightlife / etc).
His loss.

Officially a Sevilla player as of today, can we hate them more than stenny now? Bloody good day for Jimmy Sevilla fc, amazing how having 1 season in the group stages of the Champions League in front of them will attract players, half a dozen games in the competition seems to appeal more than millions in wages.
