He hasn't actually signed yet though has he, all that has happened is he has agreed terms. Sevilla still need to agree the 3rd party ownership part and do a medical. Didn't he also agree terms with us? No doubt he will sign for Sevilla but at the moment it still isn't a done deal. Sky saying still not a done deal..........

The situation with Sevilla is no different then with us, all that has happened is Konoplyanka has agreed terms with Sevilla. No medical and no 3rd party agreement.

Why would it be anchored nothing has been made official yet, I find it strange how it was pretty much done Thursday night but we are now into Saturday with nothing come out, my guess is they can't reach an agreement, I am not saying we will sign him but there may be legs in this story yet..who knows

What this delay shows is the complications are all at the players end. How anyone can criticize the way Stoke have handled this is beyond me.

I think the criticism is why invest so much time and effort on a player with a ball and chain around his neck? SCFC saw 'Kono' was 'out of contract' and smelt a cheap deal like Diouf?

translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://sevilla.eldesmarque.com/sevilla-futbol-club&prev=search Sevilla hopes to make official the signing of Konoplyanka. Sevilla awaits a final document with the signature of the president of the Dnipro The reason for waiting for the officers of Konoplyanka Although it has already passed medical tests normally, Konoplyanka is still not officially player of Sevilla . The Ukrainian has already agreed all the details of his contract with the entity of Eduardo Dato, and only remains to close the operation a document. ElDesmarque has been told, this is none other than the signature of the president and owner of the Dnipro, Igor Kolomoyskyi, the document that validates the future percentage Dnipro would take if nervionenses passed on to Konoplyanka in the future. In principle, the level of that hypothetical transfer would be around 25%. It is not yet clear that the document arrives before the end of the day. In fact, it need not be so.

There was never going to be anything cheap about it, free or not, I'm sure the club knew that.

I think the criticism is why invest so much time and effort on a player with a ball and chain around his neck? SCFC saw 'Kono' was 'out of contract' and smelt a cheap deal like Diouf? From what I gleaned, we were not treating it like a bargain opportunity. If anything we were willing to part with a lot of money to get him. Being out of contract, in his case, clearly didn't mean being free and the club knew that in advance. Your point about spending time and effort on a player with a ball and chain is fair enough, if you genuinely believe there was never a chance of him signing. I guess Stoke were making a serious effort to break that open. It didn't work, but someone somewhere thought it might and from everything I read, we came very close. I think it was worth the effort. Had it come off, the benefits would have been incredible. Okay, it didn't, but I'm more inclined to say 'nice try, better luck next time' than be too critical of the people who have a really hard job trying to persuade next level players to come to Stoke.

Presumably, it was Kolomoyskyi refusing to sign such a document that scuppered Liverpool's deadline day move for him in a previous window. Think the club will have learned a lot about dealing with Eastern Europeans - makes Spurs' Levy seem philanthropic (almost!).

Local Seville paper says all agreed and should be announced later today.Also says that their representatives have come to England to negotiate for Zonz and that should be done by next week. As a follower and ST holder of Malaga here in Spain, we absolutely hate Seville with a passion ,as they are Andalucian rivals, always trouble and lots of abuse between fans, now they are making it really personal by hijacking our deals and try to nick one of our best players. PUTA SEVILLA...PUTA CAPITAL PUTA SEVILLA

That says;
"Sevilla FC have reached an understanding with the player, in the absence of medical evidence and that the final deal closes with Dnipro"
So it's done barring a medical and closing the deal with Dnipro..........he still hasn't signed for them!

By the sounds of it, we got closer than Seville have. We at least got the medical done. If they still haven't agreed terms with Mr Batshit Crazy Loon, anything could still happen...
