You could do worse than back Tony McCoy in every race, he will be wanting to bow out on a high.

Don't bet on horses anymore except for the two big meets of the year just for fun, national and gold cup day. I've allowed myself a £40 loss for the day but hopefully up. (Doubtfull though). All in all a good day out and plenty of drinks. Not yet looked at the track but hopefully I'll pick a winner out

Can anybody provide a brief heads up? dress code, tips etc?? Dress how you want to basically, unless you are in the posh end (racecourse equivalent of club Wembley for example). I have been to loads of Chester and Uttox meetings, been to York and Doncaster for the Ledger, always good stuff, I went to Cheltenham for the Mackeson Gold Cup day (that shows my age) but it was far too full to enjoy, struggled to see anyhing, this is what puts me off going to a National or Festival meeting, as good as the atmosphere is. At the Chester May meeting I have been going for the past 26 years or so, you used to be able to follow the race from the terrace all the way around, nowadays there are so many hospitalty tents on the course you have to follow the race on the big screen until they come around the final bend. Cracking days out though.

Cracking days out though. Used to go Gold Cup day regularly...now its far too packed. You struggle to see any of the course, takes forever to get a beer, but the atmosphere is incredible....the Cheltenham roar is something to behold. It is still the best 4 days of racing anywhere though!

Sprinter Sacre nailed on winner for Wednesday? Anyone in the know? Short odds I know. Not the horse he once was after injury. Champagne Fever is the one to go for for me.

Brilliant racing day today. Anyone know how that horse got on that fell badly Theatre something or other. It always dampens a good day for me when a horse is badly injured.
Well my punts for tomorrow (I suggest you ignore them)
1:30 Nichols Canyon 2:05 Don Poli 2:40 Lac Fontana 3:20 Champagne Fever 4:00 Duke of Lucca 4:40 Thunder Zone 5:15 Pylonthepressure.
I managed a small profit today all due to The Druids Nephew

What a day. Faugheen (the machine) certainly found 2nd gear today and boy was it good. I thought the most impressive winner was douvan, what a start that looks. If anyone is going down this week give yourself plenty of time, the roadworks are a complete joke

If I remember rightly the horse really didn't want to race.

I escaped with a tiny profit today thanks to Don Poli, and Dodging Bullets (I backed to replace Champagne Fever). Hoping for better tomorrow with ..
1:30 Vautour 2:05 Regal Encore 2:40 Ma Filleule 3:20 Saphir Du Rhea 4:00 Monetaire 4:40 Champagne James
I don't usually back every race at a meeting, so I suppose to be in profit at all is a bonus. I'm expecting losses tomorrow.
