Cant praise SJW enough. Gave that midget a torrid time tonight and Bardsley had his best game IMO

Whelan was MOM.
Wilson is in a group of 4 for me for coming second including Moses, Fonz and Bardsley. All were excellent.
Cameron though was dodgy, he did a job but he was dodgy!

Cameron for new, I'm not a big fan of him but we looked way more solid than when wollshite was on the pitch Bit harsh on Phillip. He's been a good acquisition. Yes he's slow, but offers much. I like him. Cameron who is a midfielder offers more squad coverage like Wilson whereas Phillip really doesn't.

Whelan was top draw , Wilson flawless apart from once in the first half when he took a chance with Lukaku and got done , less sure about cameron he was done a few times but steadied himself as the game went on , but need a mention for both full backs tonight who I thought did really well , Pieters looks a class act especially .

Whelan was quite simply magnificent in a team of trojans. Fantastic character from a group of players who despite a ridiculous catalogue of injuries are doing fantasically well. I am very proud to be a Potter.

Big three for me were Whelan, Wilson and Bardsley who were outstanding. I'd echo that but also add pieters to the list. I'll have my Stoke jacket on at Everton hq tomorrow night :-) Yeah, as soon as I wrote I thought about Erik and how solid a game he'd had.

nice to see these boys getting a bit of credit on here, thought they were outstanding, when wollscheid went off i didn't see us having a leader at the back wilson absolutely stepped into that role and bossed it, some massive covering tackles...whelan bossed the midfield IMO and threw himself into everything cameron is that confident on the ball he could be the white abdoulaye! to sum it up, me and my old man walked out the ground last night and embrased. i didn't give hughes much credit or much of a chance when he came to the club, so glad to be eating humble pie..thank you mr hughes and im sorry

I've got to give it to Wilson. I thought he really stepped up when the team needed it with Cameron in there. He helped steady the ship and brought the best out of Geoff. Harsh on Whelan who was superb. Yep, that's the way I saw it too.

Wilson MoM easily.
I feel we got away with it with Cameron. He always looks a liability at CH to me, commits himself too easily. Call me ungrateful but I'd be glad to see Cameron upgraded in the summer. Squad player at best.
I thought Bardsley had his best game to date. He refrained from wiping out Naismith and tried to cover for Cameron.
Wheelan and Nzonzi great too.

Thought Whelan was terrific. Man of the match by quite a long way for me. Geoff and Wilson were very good together. Dealt with everything thrown at them.
Lots of positivity.

. He refrained from wiping out Naismith . haha yes that is Bardsley in a nutshell. He really has to try hard to not wipe a winger out in each game he plays. I think he lives for the slide tackle

People are going on about Whelan and his character, work rate and tackles and of course that was on show as ever, but last night he was excellent on the ball. His passing was first rate and PROGRESSIVE. A great performance I thought followed closely by Wilson who was magnificent at the back.
We love the battlers, the workers and we have that in spades but we also have some very good footballers.

I think he lives for the slide tackle The way Naismith spent the majority of his time fouling anything in red and white and then gave a two handed shove to Bards's chest, it's a wonder he didn't chin the little prick.

I can't speak highly enough of Begovic, Bardsley, Wilson, Pieters, Whelan and Walters. To a man, even when struggling in a game (like Walters did yesterday) each of them has led by example and been magnificent. It was a tough game last night and we had to dig in for a while in that second half but I thought we were absolutely superb.
