I am not all that convinced filling the corner in will be the answer to the problem to be honest but I'm no aerodynamicist. The traffic problem is the main problem for me, certainly for night games. It took 45 mins to get from Longton to the stadium last night waiting to get onto the slip road at the Brit then a further 1 hour plus to get away afterwards. The whole Trentham Lakes estate is crying out for more access, ideally directly off the A500, and with them now building a housing estate further down the problems will only escalate. The traffic was appalling last night. I have to get home from work, then catch a bus. On a normal day, my trip home takes about an hour. It took over 2 hours to get home, which meant I was minutes away from missing the bus. We were then almost late for the match. I've never seen outside the Brit so quiet 30 minutes before kick off last night and I assume it was because of the horrendous traffic issues outside the Brit, even at 6pm it was gridlock on the A50 and it was only going to get worse.

It's a shit stadium in a shit location.
Think last night was one of the worst there has been...
It would be interesting to know if the issue is discussed at board level.
Noticed that there were several groups of overseas visitors last night.
Bet they were thinking WTF.!!

Used to benefit us, now we've evolved it hinders us. Correct but unfortunately the club are too penny pinching to admit it and provide their CUSTOMERS with fit for purpose facilities. I am wholeheartedly sick of going to that dump to watch skilful players being made to look like duffers by the atrocious weather conditions that are created by our very own wind tunnel.

The actual match day experience is horrific from start to finish particularly for night matches. Every new traffic procedure makes things ten times worse, the stadium is shoddy, the concourses dangerous the refreshment pricy and wank (Cold Bovril/Warm Ale).
For a £100M business the treat customers like utter shit. 3 weeks and the block 26 telly still isn't working.
Get in the sea, Scholes, you useless, useless twat.

I go to twice as many away games as home these days. The brit is an ordeal rather than an entertainment centre, for players and fans alike. Hughesy must be tearing his hair out.
Uncle Peter. Fill in the corners in the summer or lose your saint like status... it's that simple.

I actually dont get why the club DONT want too fill them in. I mean the boothen corner would look perfect with boxes and a few hundred seats at the bottom (show pictures of derby too scholes) or they could even fill it with a windbreaker and sell advertising rights too it if they aren't ambitious enough too sell a few more seats. Other corner could be safe standing, full seats, half seats half disabled area, half seats half scoreboard. Its just a big fat fucking joke now if I'm honest. The roads AWAY from the stadium need to be closed pre match also and allow only entrance too the ground (apart from the shuttle buses)

People seem to have nothing better than moan about there own club, most of you lot who moan are new supporters who would be off like a shot if we ended up like the Villa they have a better ground than us,so let's look at people's grudges. Its cold and the wind blows .Well we were a poorly supported club with no money so we scraped the money together to build the Brit,if more fans had turned up at the Vic then we would of had more money and could of built a bigger and better ground, Car parking again short memories the Vic had one car park the butler street,it was a nightmare. We should shut all the Carparks down except for disabled parking. Then people would use the number of park and ride schemes run from local pubs. Yes the ground could be better, but if you want action it's no good just moaning, why don't you organises a walkout after 70 min ,this is a way of letting those in charge that you want the stadium upgrading, there is one man who could complain that is MH if he went to the chairman and said we have been toss for the last 3 home matches because the players don't like the wind.

How many people on here have ever seen a goalkeeper throw the ball out from his own penalty area and seen it go out for a goal kick at the other end as happened last night?
I have been watchin for 50+ years and don't recall seeing that happen before.
There is another thread on here criticising some of the performances last night, yet the conditions on the side in front of the main stand were impossible at times. If you just take the move that ended with Jack's save, Geoff was 10 yards inside the penalty area when he first went to head the cross away and about 10 yards outside before he got near the ball. How can that be good for playing passing football?
Last night at time it looked like there was a hurricane blowing down one side of the pitch and a gentle breeze down the other. Playing cross field balls in those conditions becomes a lottery.
The occasional wild and windy night has to be accepted and can be quite fun, but, when just about every game this year (except Villa) seems to have has been adversely affected by the wind, eventually some of our better players are likely to start getting really brassed off.

I agree the corners should be filled in with or without seats, and like I have said people moaning but not doing anything gets you no where,MH will know if the wind is effecting his team plans and if he is not happy come out and say so.

Well that's bullshit for a start. You have given me an idea though, I'm going to make a flag with, "Mend the tele in Block 26, Scholes you arrogant, idle, fucking cock knocker" I'll see if that has more impact than a £100M business doing the decent thing and providing at least basic conditions for their paying customers.
