The Blackburn upper tier they are referring to is the home end upper tier not the darwen upper tier, so I have been informed by my rovers mates at work. I can't see why they wouldn't want to give us more tickets as they are pretty skint and also if the police can allow them to give Leeds scum 7000 then Iam sure we shouldn't have a problem.

I would like to know on what grounds the police are refusing our extra allocation.Going by the last few years arrest records we are amongst the best behaved supporters. To my knowledge there has never been any trouble between Blackburn and Stoke as well.We need someone with a little bit of clout to do something about this.Fucking stinks. Also I wonder what other teams have had their allocation refused by police at Blackburn on safety grounds cause when they used to play Manure and Man city their fans were all over the ground.

Really don't understand why they won't give it us, makes no sense Can only be fear that such a large passionate support would turn it into a 'home' game for Stoke If the police have handled 7,000 Leeds, it can't be on those grounds Bloody annoying

IAM confused, I must be reading it wrong so please forgive me for being a bit thick but the website doesn't say in so many words that Blackburn have been refused permission by the police to grant the extra allocation and it doesn't say that Blackburn have denied us extra allocation. Like I say I must be reading it wrong.

I understand that the police won't agree to our request I thought FA Cup rules say that the away club HAS to be given 15% of capacity if they want them and can sell them?

Perhaps it's a ploy to make us buy them all so we can actually get the extra tickets

They did the same our first season in the premier league, when the club put on free transport. The police diverted all the buses and held us there for a while.Don't even know if that's legal today. We wanted the full allocation but the police advised against it.

If demand is really high hopefully common sense will prevail. Better to police 7,000 fans in the stand than a few hundred stragglers outside and in the local pubs surely?

Blackburn have always been total cocks where ticket allocations are concerned, we played up there in a league cup semi 1st leg, we sold the complete lower tier and half the top, about 5,500, we asked for the remainder of the top and any other extra tickets they could provide,no chance, so rather than make some money they had a crowd of 18,000 , so for a home semi only 12,500 home fans turned up, like i said total cocks

I thought I was the only one reading the article in conclusive.

They do unless the police step in Arsenal v Tottenham last season saw Tottenham only get 3500 and not the 9000 they were entitled to Arsenal had played Chelsea a few weeks earlier ( league cup ) and Chelsea got 9000

If the request for the upper tier, has been declined, why not say as much in plain English?

Can understand the police trying to keep numbers down if they have to cover other big matches, but only Bolton playing same day in GMP area.
And I can't understand the SCFC statement "Supporters should note that once each allocation has been exhausted no more tickets will be available to purchase." They don't say this allocation, but each allocation as though there is more than one allocation - odd, unless they are referring to each block in the lower tier
