We never had this problem when we were shit before the Johnny come latelys jumped on board, cant remember struggling for tickets when we played away to Blackburn and losing by an embarrassing amount of I think 5, Cant remember struggling for tickets at a wet and miserable Middlesbrough in mid week, cant remember struggling for tickets away at Portsmouth, Torquay, Bournemouth, Hartlepool or Brighton or any other 2 horse towns that we played away.....In fact I cant remember struggling for tickets away at West Brom for a top of the table clash where we were given 7K in a wet and cold open end, and the plod never objected at that time when Stokes support was known for being Pwoper Naughty/Violent rather than the yobbish, embarrassing chav like anti social behaviour cited earlier in this thread that seems to be springing up.......which coincidently is fuck all do with football and happened away from the stadium. Oh well, no doubt if the unthinkable, depressing and unfortunate day ever happens in the future that we may get relegated, it will be slightly offset by the thought that I may well get a block of seats at the Brit to myself again and can decide last minute what games home and away I want to attend including the auto glass trophy or what ever it is called now,......other than if we reach the final of the competition again of course, saying that at least I will be guaranteed a ticket up to semi finals stage I suppose. Noooooo I am not bitter at all!! SPOT ON !!!!!

You would have thought with all the die hards we would have sold out at Rochdale Shows how kick off times can affect attendances doesn't it. Or the Jonny come latelys, I have sat at the Brit with about 6000 there for an FA cup match.

I'm going to Blackburn, but wouldn't have gone on a Monday night due to work, same reason i missed Rochdale.A lot would have missed out for the same reason.I don't think Jonny come lately comes into it in this instance.

To be fair mate a few of us have done that in the past but things change. For starters most people worked 9-5 or 8-4 etc now a lot of people work shitty shifts. If I was to go the other week it would have been a days holiday used which to be fair have to be looked after until next Jan. If the game had been on the Sat we would have sold out I think.

I have to say I'm not keen on the term Jonny come latelys. Some people just cant afford to turn up week in week out and working patterns have changed so much that sometimes its impossible to get to matches plus some fans have to travel to home matches let alone away games and it all costs. Me I have been watching/supporting Stoke for nearly 50 years but as I now have family commitments plus living out of Stoke on Trent I'm lucky if I can make a dozen matches a season, but that doesnt mean I dont love my team less than the fortunate ones who are able to attend weekly. Rant over see you all at Blackburn

I remember taking my dad one night cup game in the sentinel stand , when we first moved to Brit. Can't remember the opo, but it was so empty we felt like the people's front of Judea sitting on our own splitters edit could have been walsall

Northwichstokie, that pub is now more into doing cheap meals rather than football friendly. Even preseason they looked uncomfortable when only around 50 stoke fans in.

But that's where some people's attitudes change for the later rounds isn't it, they make that bit of effort to start early, change shifts etc. find some way of going, like the ones who fly in for the big games and get their faces in the papers and on TV, where the guys who go when the stadiums are half empty just get on with it.

I see what you are saying but like this coming week we have the mancs at home. I have had to take a days holiday for that. As the Manc game is already paid for and my lad couldn't go if I didn't I chose to book this weeks game off. My holidays run from jan to jan so I have to be carful how i use them. Thankfully I will be on earlies when we play Swansea so no holiday needed there. Trust me, I would love to go every game but it just can't be for me. Hopefully we will have no more midweek games (cup or league) until next season.

The Brit was a special kind of cold when it was less than half full on a winter's day. At least being surrounded by people blocks off some of the wind.

Rant over see you all at Blackburn I may be reading the wrong script here but............ You say you only attend a dozen matches a season, do you buy a season ticket for 12 games a season..........if not I take it you are either going in the Blackburn end for the cup game or just watching it in a pub in Blackburn.

there away following has always been piss poor, despite there 10 yr purple patch, im old enough to remember trips to the old ewood park, massive away end, always a clue the club relies on away support financially cos there home support is weak.....they can make smart comments on there board all they want, the fact is they had 4500 ish home fans in the ground v swansea in the last round.

Hi Mozzer, no mate I dont get a season ticket as its hit and miss on which matches I can attend due to work commitments on Saturdays and being a nightworker cant make midweek games. Would have loved to have gone Rochdale but my boss wouldnt let me go in late and work over in the morning. Yes will be in home end on Saturday and looking forward to it. The point I was trying to make in original post is just because fans turn up at games every now and then due to their circumstances doesnt make them jonny come latelys.

Still not got mine either Danny. I've just rang the ticket office and apparently they have been really busy and someone has to print all the tickets off so they didn't go out till Thursday or Friday. Hopefully they will come tomorrow

Get yourselves up there lads. General sale today. My mate is in the GMP and basically said any Stokies in the home end will be moved to the spare seats in the top tier. They won't eject hundreds onto the streets and you CANNOT be arrested.
