Cheers. Apart from Leicester, all the others are over 10 years ago as well. It almost seems as though the whole id scheme meant for nothing. We trashed Burnley on our last Saturday visit as well by all accounts. I think that would have been the Steve cotterill game. I was at that game and there was no mither in or around the ground but that obviously doesn't mean that there wasn't trouble in town. Good job semi-finals are at Wembley now, or we'd probably get penalised on numbers if it was staged in the North! It does make you wonder if we (and they) get through - will we get the whole of the Anfield Rd end for a Saturday tea time kick off in the quarter finals?

We cause more trouble away from the ground and for non football supporters than almost any other club. The appalling behaviour of travelling port vale fans was also mentioned. Maybe its a Stoke on Trent thing.

It's not GMP its Lancs police my geographically challenged friend ! Lancashire police are of course distinct from GMP in their fair handling of these situations. Fucking hell, does it matter whose badge they are wearing my pedantic anorak-wearing "friend"! I don't have a anorak its a parka, the difference is the faux fur around the hood and the filthy orange lining

Great I booked the day off work so I could attend the game but instead I'll now either have to go into work and cancel the leave or I suppose 'll have to do something with the other half. It's a bit of a bugger when you had the criteria to get tickets for yourself but the folk you intend to watch the game with haven't.
Police need to chill a little I feel and do what they should do and police effectively, good decent supporters are being marginalised because of a minority.
Stokies travelling away should also realise the impact of their behaviour on other fellow Stokies. I can not travel to away games nowadays due to work commitments. I use a substantial amount of leave just to watch us at home with my season ticket. I would love to have the opportunity to go away more often but it is not possible. I thought this would have been an occasion to behold but it wasn't to be. So fellow Stokies, I hope those of you that are travellong do your bit at Ewood and get our club into the next round.
P.s. prove to Lancs police we can be a decent lot, don't prove them right!

Well I'm not missing this one going over today to try and get tickets. If I have to sit in one of the home ends then so be it. Had great banter with Blackburn fans last time I has to do it. I miss our annual usual jaunt to Ewood.

I realise that there is little to no chance of Plod changing their stance on this now! Those of us lucky enough to have tickets would do well to remember that our last away game this season is at Burnley (same police force)! This season Burnley have been giving the cricket field stand (ALL OF IT) to those clubs who want that number of tickets, 4500 I believe. To those who want to kick off at Blackburn and i have no objection to those who have purchased tickets in the home areas, Just think what chance we will then have of receiving a decent allocation at Burnley!

We never had this problem when we were shit before the Johnny come latelys jumped on board, cant remember struggling for tickets when we played away to Blackburn and losing by an embarrassing amount of I think 5, Cant remember struggling for tickets at a wet and miserable Middlesbrough in mid week, cant remember struggling for tickets away at Portsmouth, Torquay, Bournemouth, Hartlepool or Brighton or any other 2 horse towns that we played away.....In fact I cant remember struggling for tickets away at West Brom for a top of the table clash where we were given 7K in a wet and cold open end, and the plod never objected at that time when Stokes support was known for being Pwoper Naughty/Violent rather than the yobbish, embarrassing chav like anti social behaviour cited earlier in this thread that seems to be springing up.......which coincidently is fuck all do with football and happened away from the stadium.
Oh well, no doubt if the unthinkable, depressing and unfortunate day ever happens in the future that we may get relegated, it will be slightly offset by the thought that I may well get a block of seats at the Brit to myself again and can decide last minute what games home and away I want to attend including the auto glass trophy or what ever it is called now,......other than if we reach the final of the competition again of course, saying that at least I will be guaranteed a ticket up to semi finals stage I suppose.
Noooooo I am not bitter at all!!

Good point my mate, I also hope the club have taken on board this whole farce with these tickets and just ask Burnley for the full allocation before the local constabulary get involved!!! I for one shall be amongst burnley supporters that day as the company I work for in burnley has a corporate box which I have been in on numerous occasions before watching stoke. Just glad I have managed tickets in the stoke end for this game.

Stokies travelling away should also realise the impact of their behaviour on other fellow Stokies. You only had to read the reaction of the fan whose mate pulled the cord on the Derby train the other week to realise that you're pissing in the wind there. It was all a good laugh and everybody should've just chilled out. They werent bothered in the slightest about other Stokies who had to sit on a stationery train for a couple of hours, as long as they got their kicks.

I would have thought any die-hard supporter would have easily made the 40 points needed to guarantee a ticket for Blackburn.

"Funny reading their board. It's as petty and ill informed as ours. They make out like they take 7000 away routinely. I remember when they first came up there were concerns about having these lower league knuckle scrapers taking big followings instead of their usual few hundred, similar to Burnley really."
Calls us ill informed. Proceeds to compare us with Burnley. Who's ill informed again?
