What will Pulis bring? Hmmmm. A baseball cap and 1970's management skills!
Get stuck in, lad!
Goarrrn, skin him.
On your head, son.
Sort him out, big man.
Get in there.

They're selling Brown Ideye for about 4 million quid. Surely with what they paid for him six months ago you stick it out a bit?

Massive slap in the face by Pulis for Albion's famed recruitment team. The sale of Ideye is basically telling them that they know the square root of fuck all and it's going to be done his way.

Daily Mail reporting Pulis linked to Carlton Cole now. If Pulis signs Carlton Cole he truly has lost the plot. He's been after him for about 5 years if you listen to all the rumours. Now,when he's finally past it he gets his man lol Who's next on your list Tone,Bobby Z ?

Did they sign Marcus Ollson (sp?) in the end? Another player he wanted and thought he'd signed at Stoke.
If he got him, I wonder if he will play him at left back or left wing? If at left back, it wouldn't be like Pulis to play games with the team in order to try and force a chairmans hand into signing a player he wanted would it?

LMAO Pulis is destined never to sign Carlton Cole, he must of had him at the table, pen & contract in hand waiting for the call from West Ham only for them to get the call, but to go back to Upton Park

Well that was a fucking shambles
Blame needs to spread all round anyone who was involved in yesterday and the window in general but from all accounts it's Pulis who is calling the shots so he needs to shoulder the majority of it. No need to guess if Cole was a Pulis target or not...
He/we seemed to have no plan at all (Mcmanaman aside) and just bid/registered interest on whoever became available. Hence no interest at all in Olsson until Norwich mentioned at 2pm we could have him if we wanted and we decided to go for it. Laughably the player couldn't even get to the ground before the window closed because the road were slippy.
I'm not a Pulis fan and never have been. I didn't particular want him but grudgingly admitted he was the best man for the job in the circumstances. However he's bought all my worst fears about him, I thought I could stick it out until the summer at least with the knoldge he would probably keep us up (which I thought we would do with or without Pulis) but I'm fed up of the whole situation already and it's been less than a month.
We desperately need pace, we desperately need a creativity and we desperately need goals. No surprise then that Pulis went after a 31 year old Bitish defensive midfielder whose best days are firmly behind him whilst seeing a move for Carlton Cole break down.

Just wait until he really gets his teeth stuck in.
Some things you can look forward to if things don't go to plan (or even if they do) include: him lashing out in all directions, buggering about with the club, attacking supporters, whinging endlessly about budgets, 'managing your expectations', team selections and tactics to make his point rather than win games, making stuff up, freezing out players (especially if the club bought them rather than him), ignoring the youth setup, undermining the youth set up, attacking the youth setup and threats. There's more but you'll see for yourself. He'll get you results but you'll all be at each others throats within months.
Enjoy.

His signings of Dann and Hennesey at Palace told me that he'll never change. Trying to sign Carlton Cole only cements the fact. As well as putting Lescott at LB ;D.
Honestly, I wish no ill of West Brom other than when we play each other. The only reason he'll keep you guys up is because the league is littered with potential clubs that could go down.
Just wait till he pulls this little beauty out of the bag.

If you needed all that surely your recruitment policy was well up the spout prior to Pulis joining? Yeh our recruitment since Ashworth left as been awful. Gone from being our biggest strength and probably the main reason for us being the PL/finishing top half to an absolute mess pretty much the moment Ashworth went to the FA. In fairness we didn't really need that much. A back up CF for Berahino would of been nice (not Carlton Cole) but we needed another source of goals for the starting 11 and some pace on the wings so really just a winger who could score 5 goals between now and May. We bought in Mcmanaman but Pulis got rid of Varela to do it so we were back to square one in that department. We only need creativity so much because Sessegnon cant get a game any more. We could of lined up on Sunday with Foster Wisdom McCauley Lescott Pocognoli Mulumbu Yacob Mcmanaman Sessegnon Varela Berahino Instead we will likely be Foster Wisdom Dawson McCauley Pocognoli Mcmanaman Fletcher Yacob Brunt Berahino Anichebe Spot the Pulis team

Linked with Carlton Cole and playing Lescott at left back. That's all there needs to be said about Tony Pulis, he's losing his fucking mind, I'm so glad we got rid of him.

It's going to be interesting to see how this Darren Fletcher move pans out.
There's a lot of talk on the West Ham message boards that they weren't happy with his medical results and tried to loan him from Man United until the rest of the season. After that was rejected, West Brom then stepped in and handed him a two and half year contract plus the option of a third. He's on a free transfer as well so will undoubtedly have scooped a healthy signing on fee, not to mention pretty big wages.
Fletcher's well past his best (well he would be if Man Utd have let him go) and there have got to be big question marks over him given his recent illness. Given the money The Baggies have splashed out on him, you've got to think that this is a pretty big risk and one that could come back to bite them on the backside in a Palacios kind of way.
Has TP genuinely done his homework on Fletcher or is it just another one of his starstruck signings?

He's certainly not the type of player we needed even if he is still fit enough to do a job.
