He played very well but you have to take the opposition into consideration though. It certainly gives Hughes a selection problem.

He was the epitome of calmness, was always in the right position , timed his tackles and interceptions perfectly, came out with the ball when the time was right and inevitably found his man with the pass. A typical German ball playing centre back who will get a few from set pieces too..sign him up Sparky.

How did our young German do today? I didn't see the game but I assume he had another solid performance.

Dunno what happened for their goal. Our left side seemed to go missing. Need to watch it again.

Had a good steady game, reads it very well too. I saw Whelan ripping into him for some reason when the man he should be bollocking was Wilson. Will be a good long term partner with Ryan.

Looks very good. Settled in extremely well and seems an intelligent bloke. An important piece in the squad jigsaw. Good scouting by someone too.

He is good on the ball but wouldn't like to see him against a quick striker as he looks slow! He is not a dominant centre half aerially like Shawcross!

Decent enough. Thought Muni was excellent when he came on.

When big Phill and Muni have played at centre half together, we haven't conceded a goal ;)

Decent enough. Thought Muni was excellent when he came on. Indeed. Think Wollscheid had done really well but Muniesa is fantastic in that position.

I thought he was excellent, brilliant on the ball, a couple of superb long passes to feet and very dominant in the air.

Did well again today. The goal we conceded was at least partly down to Shawcross getting injured in the build up.

Whelan gave him a lecture for something. Thought he had a decent game. Whelan had a pop at him twice for not stepping up into the gaps that he and Nzonzi were leaving. The second time he gestured over to the bench for the manager to bollock him and at full time he and Muniesa were the only two he didn't shake hands with. Very disappointed with Glenn today. Decent enough game but he and Nzonzi went walkies far too often and to pick on the new lad when he is adapting to the team and league is very poor indeed. At the end of the game Wollscheid and Muniesa were remonstrating with each other over the incident and it has clearly affected them both in a negative way. In the absence of Shawcross I thought they were both superb.

Possibly Glenn was asking MH to put Wilson in the middle alongside Wollscheid once Zamora was on and move Muniesa to LB The back 4 selections have meant that Wollscheid has played in different formations for each game so far! - not surprised that his positioning isn't spot on all of the time I think he will do well alongside Shawcross, Munisea will be too good to ignore , possibly challenging for a place in front of CB or at lb

Dunno what happened for their goal. Our left side seemed to go missing. Need to watch it again. whelan and nzonzi were missing, Ryan got sucked out to fill the gap then tripped, Wilson made a fairies attempt at a tackle and the right side went missing in tracking back leaving us exposed

He was miles better today than Rochdale.
I still prefer Muni though. We have 3 good centre halves though, which is ace.

Have seen him live at Leicester and again today and on both occasions he's looked very accomplished.Have to say he looks better with Muniesa and my only worry with him would be lack of pace but so far so good.

His running style still concerns me but apart from that he looks like he knows what he is doing at centre half,he is good on the ball as well.
